Is Lacy not gonna be splitting some carries?

Justin Hunter will have more in YAC yards than any running back has in rushing yards, so does that count?

ACL tears are not kind to runningbacks the next season. Micheal Fabiano did a whole article on runningback totals the year after an acl tear and it wasn't pretty. Because of that, I don't think Lattimore will be the top rusher.

Davis is coming off a leg injury also so I'm going to rule him out too.

Honestly, I think it'll be Zac Stacy or Eddie Lacy. Probably Lacy because Stacy is running behind a very young, average oline.

1. Lacy - 1250ish
2. Lattimore - 1200ish (Limited at times to avoid injury)
3. Stacy - 1100ish
4. Davis - 1050ish (Limited carries and may rest during joke teams on top of passing offense)
5. McCalebb - 800-1000 range

I predict it will be Chip Wellington Uppington-Smythe from Opelika,
who will rush: Theta Xi, Kappa Alpha, Phi Delta Theta, Alpha Gamma Rho, Delta Kappa Epsilon, Pi Kappa Alpha, Kappa Sigma, Delta Tau Delta, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Chi, Acacia, Phi Gamma Delta, Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Chi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Upsilon, Phi Kappa Theta, and Phi Kappa Psi at Auburn all in one afternoon.

Where exactly is Vandy young upfront outside of center who played in every game last yr?

LT Wesley Johnson RS Jr - best player on team overall
LG Ryan Seymour RS Sr
OC Spencer Pulley Soph
RG Josh Jelesky RS Sr
RT Andrew Bridges RS Soph - started all 12 games last season.

Top backups
OT Chase White RS Soph played in all 12 games
OC/OG Joe Townsend Soph played in 9 games

Also although they won't contribute much if anything this year VU signed the no. 14 OL class in the nation in Feb.

Group will prob overall be average but when you look at how god awful VUs OL play has been in the past (biggest weakness especially in the leanest years) actually are in excellent shape.

If Lattimore plays all 12 games he will lead the league. Btw he's 100% by all accounts. Took a pretty good hit in the scrimmage popped back up like it was nothing.

Correct. There is a whole lot of ignorance concerning this issue on this board.

Here is what NFL RB's rushed for the year before their ACL injury and their 1st year coming back:

Curt Warner pre injury: 1449 post injury: 1094
Ki Jana-Carter pre: 1539 post: 264
Jamal Anderson pre: 1846 post: 1024
Terrell Davis pre: 2008 post: 282
Edgerrin James pre: 1709 post: 989
Jamal Lewis pre: 1364 post: 1327
Dominick Rhodes pre: 1104 post: 157
Deuce McAllister pre: 1057 post: 418
Ronnie Brown pre: 1008 post: 946
Kevin Smith pre: 976 post: 133

Major leg injuries and running backs do not mix, and it takes time (typically two full years from the season when the major leg injury occurred) to recover to the pre-injury form that these backs enjoyed when punishing NFL defenses on a regular basis.

Lattimore. Lacy will be the starter, but with 3 quality backs behind him, I don't think Saban will see any need for Lacy to wear himself out with carries. By season's end I think you will see Lacy and Yeldon splitting carries.

Lacy won't see the field in the 2nd half of either of those games. In fact, I'll go out on a limb right now and say he won't be the leading Bama rusher in either game.

I thought you guys had a true freshmen take the starting job on the line. I guess I was wrong. Still, the line is a very average group with true freshmen backing up. Not an ideal situation.

Of course with the ACL injury you will never have the same full range of motion that you did before the injury. If lattimore is a shell of his former self we can't tell. That guy has been cutting and running routes non stop since mid July.

Also I read several times where lattimore will be slower than he was before the injury which is not true. Your speed doesn't come from your knees. Your speed comes from your quad's, hip's, and hamstrings so it has no affect on that aspect what soever. Typically recovery time is 9 months. NFL scouts just have a theory about it taking 2yrs to get back to full speed. It's just that a theory. Each case is individually different because no two people's bodies react the same to an injury.
