Including a Sugar Bowl win and 2 wins over Alabama. Yes, even if they're vacated, it was worth it.

You can't be serious.

No, they are. You have to understand how bad it's been for Ole Miss fans and for how long. After hearing from their grandfathers about the legendary teams of the '50s and '60s, the majority of their fan base wasn't even alive the last time they won the SEC title or even went to the Sugar Bowl, let alone won it. To come within 4th and 25 of winning the SEC West, win the Sugar Bowl, beat the Saban machine twice and be ranked in the top 5 for the better part of a season is excitement most of them have literally never experienced. If they had to cheat to do it, and go back to being shite for a while to pay for it, being able to experience that for the first and probably only time of their lives as Ole Miss fans was probably damn well worth it and something they would gladly do again.

Good gosh, the replies from these Ole Miss fans should serve as a reminder just how stupid and elitist they are. They are actually saying it was worth seeing their program destroyed and the school a national embarassment as long as they beat Alabama and saw a Sugar bowl. You have got to be kidding me!!! And it's not just one of them, go back and see how many actually believe that crap. The state of Mississippi should close them down and ship their asses to N Korea.

I can see that in some ways.
Ole Miss hadn't been relevant in decades. They were called "runts" on ESPN, etc.
Freeze got them them up to a Top 2 or 3 ranking during the regular season and a Sugar Bowl win which is something they were not likely to see. The "landshark defense", explosive offense, etc.

If it were just the embarrassment of Freeze's indiscretions it would be no big deal.
However, if the NCAA butt f**ks them with a telephone pole and then does a chainsaw vasectomy it will set them back so far they will be the perennial cellar dwellers they were once accustomed to being. Ole Miss, with their arrogant fanbase, believes they deserve to be plantation owners in the SEC but they will just be living in shanty houses that they once forced on others.

Not trying to go against some of our own fans, this is just how I see it. Looking back, was it worth it? No. Reason being we were bad before, now it will only be worse. Don't get me wrong though, it was fun and created some memories, but those memories now have an asterisk next to them.

We won't get any type of proven head coach for a few years. And even then it may just be an upcomer. Reason I say that is because there's more coming. Our "interim" should be counting his days also the AD. Does it suck? It does big time. We can set here and say we all play by the books and built the team the right way. No. Everyone does a better job at it than we did. We tried to be Bama to quick. And one big problem Hugh has is that he was expected to win now.And he turned his head and let them have their way, while he done his thing. Honestly it was fun to watch him coach and make watching the team fun again with all his packages. Even the head scratching ones. I think that's what most are saying is that it was fun to watch the team again. Or I assume that's what most mean. Cause in no way it was worth setting us back 5-10 years when we could barely make it to :500 before.

I can also say I wish we could have covered our tracks better and not try to be a championship team in one year. Should have left no paper or any records and get just a big name or two here and there for a few years and build it up. Don't walk in and sign a top 5 class almost as soon as you get here. When 2013 happened I looked at who I was dating at the time, and told her that this isn't gonna end well. Don't get me wrong, I was jumping up and down excited about it until that wore off and I could see and Ray Charles could that it was to quick. Every program pays players or they give some type of payment to them. We just did it wrong and sloppy. One of Hughs problems, besides what he done wrong is that he loved Ole Miss. That was his dream job. He would have done anything to have that job. He got the position and wanted to make Ole Miss a household name. Well he did that, but in all the wrong ways. He turns his head, boosters produce you some players and boom you have the team you wanted to make Ole Miss somewhat relevant again. Before turning his head, he should have told them to pump the brakes and gradually bring them in.

I know tl;dr but at the end of the day I'm going to be a fan of the team even if we go 0-12. And pray that when, not if, we start paying players again, then hopefully they will have learned how not to do it. Not getting my hopes up about it though. That's until we clean house. At the end of the day, the head coach is above all the others and will have all the blame for not monitoring the rest. I can only pray the next guy has his nose in every coach and boosters face and make sure any trails are covered and not get out of hand to quick. Yes, we will be paying players again. Next time hopefully not at the rate we did this time. Oh and to add that's hoping we can field a team for a while. Sorry again for being so long. Just have only posted about this once and wanted to get it all out there.
And to my fellow Rebels, I hate to say this but it's fixing to get worse.

So, spanking one out, thinking about a woman who's been dead 9 years.

Weird; even though she did go to UM.

The thing they fail to see is that they finished behind State in the SEC standings in 4 out of those 5 years. If that shite was worth it so be it.

A lot worse, I honestly have gotten a chuckle out of this so far but have never wished for the destruction of the program and that is exactly what is looming.

At least you guys can't blame us for the next shitstorm, it is 100% on the OM athletic dept.

But Ole Miss didn't win any titles. Everyone cheats. If you're gonna get caught, you better win a title.

This is hilarious. Freeze had the exact same peak of success as Nutt and Cutcliffe. He's had one of the all time most embarrassing falls from grace. And OM fans are so delusional they think it was worth it.

It's amazing that ole miss is such a second-rate program that a glorified Cotton Bowl win (they only made the Sugar bc the Cotton was part of the playoffs), is worth absolutely demolishing any shred of credibility or legitimacy the program might have had.

Yeah but it's great that all the self-righteous, condescending OM fans held Freeze and the program up as a bastion of morality. But now the whole world knows it was all a bunch of bullshite, which is what most of us had been saying for years

I wonder what percentage of any schools fans hang out on message boards? 15-20 % tops?

I doubt we are seeing the real OM fan base

So is saying "We are going to do things the right way, even if we only at best go 7-5 and never get above an Independence Bowl"

Cutcliff's 2003 season was better than Freeze's 2015 season. Making the Sugar Bowl now is not what it used to be. It is very comparable to Cutcliffe making the 2003 Cotton Bowl. Additionally, Cutcliffe won a share of the West. He did it the right way. Yes, I know it took a guy like Eli Manning to get Ole Miss there, but it is doable is all I'm saying.

Acting like it's impossible for Ole Miss to have a big season every 10 years is impossible without cheating is ridiculous. State just played in the freaking Orange Bowl. Arkansas has played in the Sugar Bowl. Missouri was damn close to playing for the national title in 2007. South Carolina had 3 straight 11 win seasons. And so on...

Saying "it was worth it" is the most arse-backwards logic I've ever seen
