If Liverpool wins the title this year, they are closer to Alabama than United. Large period of success in the 70s and 80s followed by a long period of only above average followed mediocrity followed by a new found success. Constantly living in the shadow of former glory and great managers. Very quick to being up past triumphs when the present doesn't suit their needs.
United weren't historically that great before Fergie although they were certainly good.
Tennessee=Leeds.

Huge Arsenal fan, and this one actually makes the most sense. And I love Les and Wenger, they are both stubborn to a fault though and have cost the teams. Yet they also brought them to heights not realized before.
