The truth is in the middle. Without Kiffin last year we don't beat Clemson. In 2014 with Henry hashing oklahoma he threw the ball all over the place. This year Hurts has gotten worse passing the ball and when we have Bo hashing Washington he is throwing the ball the entire 3rd quarter and Bo disappears. A lot of the offensive problems were self inflicted but it's obvious Kiffin is distracted. He has also started running off at the mouth again. All of this added up to home being let go and Alabama actually handling it and allowing him to save face.

I'll answer -- the latter decision because it is relevant now.

Equally great decisions. Hiring a great OC. And urging a distracted coach to move on to where his mind is at.

Why are you melting? You think you've gained some mental edge on us huh? Guess what bitch???? Still playing in the championship while your season is over...enjoy your DL coach.

Be a better poster. LSU fans are the worst.

Both decisions will have ended with NC's, so take your pick.

You're giving yourself too much credit

And the fifth time you started a thread for it? Sorry dude but you're giving yourself way too much credit thinking anyone wants to hear your opinion for the fifth time.

Trollish but amusing, though the 'genuinely curious' was probably excessive.

It is fair to point out that circumstances do change. Just because a hire is good, that doesn't mean the hire can't go bad at a later date.

Many OCs could have won a title with bamas players

i think in hindsight they should have went a different direction

Maybe, but hindsight also tells us they've been successful with Kiffin. If he's done a good job winning, there's a lot more room to go down than to go up. Sure they could have won one more national title, but that's really about the only way another OC could objectively manage to be an improvement.

On the same token, Lane is the one who utilized a freshman QB and got Bama to the second straight CFP

So maybe firing him was hasty

I think most college football fans have an opinion on firing your OC the week before the NC game

Would you like me to pipe down? Your safe space is to the left, on the Alabama board
