Galen got them cleaned then got them caught. Which gave you Gary Darnelle.

Saban is behind Miles for LSU. Cholly Mac never won a NC so Miles trumps him.
Of course he is.

Miles: 85-21, 2 CC's, 1 NC
Saban: 48-16, 2 CC's, 1 NC
Pretty close but if you had to pick one, sure.

Swanson should be behind Miles at LSU.
Same as Miles behind Gundy and Johnson at Ok St or Saban behind whoever coached up north at Mich St that I don't care about.
Lots of examples of this phenomena

Y'all were a dumpster fire when Saban took over.

Bear Bryant often gets credit for putting Bama football on the map, but Wade was superb and is the one that really got the ball rollin'.

As did I. Or I'd have more to talk about.

Belle you would have an aneurism if basketball was included I think your brain would melt, too many good coaches.
Joe B
Tubby
Pitino
Cal
The two I know who won't be is Billy Clyde and Eddie. I think Ed was a great coach though.

True, but out of the following 4:
Miles: 85-21, 2 CC's, 1 NC
Saban: 48-16, 2 CC's, 1 NC
Chollie Mac: 137-59-7, 1 CC
Paul Deitzel: 46-24-3, 2 CC, 1 NC
I'd have that order. As I said before, by retirement, it will be Miles easily.

Yeah, if it were all sports....that would encompass a quite a bit.

Is Skip the GOAT at LSU if all sports count?
Gotta weigh importance of sport and success.
Football is most important. But Pat Henry won the most by far.
I still give the nod to Skip over Les. It's close though.

Sutton was good, just too drunk.
And you need to tell me what you want in your sig again.

I'd say Skip easily. Henry is great and it really sucks we didn't do what was necessary to keep him. But Skip took a sport no one cared a great deal about and made it popular locally. Maybe SEC Network will make it popular with all the conference teams, dunno. But Skip was something, for sure.

Speaking of Dye, did you know he was Bryant's choice to take his place when he retired?

I wouldn't argue Skip at 1
But I'd argue dale brown at #2 till I ran out of breath

I think that's just a rumor. He knew Dye wouldn't leave Auburn after just 2 years, especially for Alabama. I've heard he handed the BOT 3 names: Howard Schnellenberger, Gene Stallings, and Ray Perkins. Of course they would pick the only one to not be successful.
