That'll do pig, that'll do.

I'm calling for an armistice. No more flames posts until the world gets to the bottom of this Manti T'eo story. Jesus Christ, what happened to investigative journalism? What in the hell is going on with Notre Dame? This guy almost became a Heisman winner and won everything else.

Fascinating, yet so bizarre.

Nothing could disappoint me next year.
I love us.
And I'm still riding the wave of not having to go to Lubbock, Norman, and Waco.
I'm not one who thinks we'll win the natty; I'm seeing 2 losses, at best.
Short of a major personal/team tragedy, I'm grateful for all opportunities & outcomes in 2013.
We're rebuilding, and we'll be fine.

A&M only has two regular season opponents worth a shite - if they lost to both Bama and LSU it will be hard to tell if they're awesome or mediocre

I don't disagree; though I'd say "awesome" or "pretty good."

Well, one of our SEC opponents will be Vandy. This isn't your daddy's Vanderbilt. For now, they are the flagship of Tennessee and are poised to compete in the SEC East this year.

Our path to a championship is certainly easier than LSU, but our schedule is at least more difficult than Bama's. Without accounting for acts of God, our ceiling is pretty high and a lot would have to go wrong for A&M to go 7-5.

We'll see if you're saying this after Auburn pulls the upset and is smoking cigars in Tiger Stadium. It will be the first Tiger Rant meltdown of the season

I think Gus will upset 1 of UGA, Alabama, or LSU and with most of LSU's starters leaving for the NFL, this would be our best chance to get a win in Baton Rouge

Bama 2013

vs LSU
@ A&M
vs Va Tech (Atlanta)

A&M 2013

@ LSU
vs Bama

LSU 2013

vs TCU (Dallas)
vs Florida
vs A&M
@ Alabama
@ UGA

I'd say Bama's schedule is marginally more difficult than A&M's - and FWIW the LSU/Bama series has been dominated by the road team for 30 years now

LSU returned 15 starters last year and returns 14 starters this year

We lost a lot of juniors in the draft and I wish 2-3 of them would have stayed - but they played for 2-3 years as starters and that's all you get in today's college football.

I think it has to be Ole Miss. They could start out 3-0 or fall as far as 1-6. I also think LSU fans should be a little concerned. Les seems to have peaked at LSU and is losing a ton from this years mediocre ( by LSU Standards) team.

Not with the recruiting class we just landed. Les is comparing it to the 2009 class which produced Claiborne, Brockers, Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, Faulk, etc.

LSU was not mediocre. Arguably, we were about a minute away from playing for the conference and national titles. If we beat Bama, we'd have been there (or Georgia).

Also, LSU loses about as many starters this year as we did last year.

Who? The O wasn't consistent and the D is losing a few guys. It could be argued that preseason A&M/UA/UF/UGA/TCU should be favorites over LSU plus a few of the remaining games could go either way (Ole Miss easily could have won in 2012). You'll have to look very hard to find a LSU who thinks we should be one of the handful of NC favorites in 2013. Contender? There's maybe 20 or so teams that could be contenders so that's not saying a whole lot.

A tough year won't surprise any...but a great year wouldn't surprise any either I would think.

I think LSU winning the NC this year would be the most Les thing ever and would prove he's just been trolling the Tiger Rant all these years
