So you each play one good team?

quote:

LOL! Yes, Texas A&M and Ole Miss are world beating powerhouses.

quote:

We played A&M for years........not exactly a powerhouse.  Sorry.

quote:

And their bowl win was over 7 -6 West Virginia.

Arkansas has more going for it.....than to brag because Aggie is on their schedule.

quote:

A&m was an also-ran in this conference who lost to Tech with regularity, we beat them and Ole Miss (with Eli Manning) in the same year.... with a QB on a torn ACL. NO one cares about your schedule, and Ole Miss, Miss State, and A&M are not power houses, they are decent now and in the SEC... so they get ranked.

quote:

A&M is an also ran.  Beating them isn't anything to kill a pig over.  Bert is fat, jealous, and full of excuses.  First it was up tempo offense and body bags, now its those insurmountable trips to Starkville and Oxford that are keeping him from being successful......

quote:

Its funny how much the coaches of that conference like to chirp about other programs. Its always the ones who haven't had any notable accomplishements. Whether it's Beliema, Pinkel, or even Sumlin. Not saying they aren't good coaches but it's just interesting I don't hear it from Saban or Malzahn

Reminds of The U documentary. The biggest talkers were also the biggest NFL busts.

quote:

So after today do you put Toledo at 4th in SEC or Jacksonville State?

Tt fan claims last year beatdown was misleading

Arkansas chewed up more than 13 minutes on back-to-back, 13-play drives in the second half, leaving the defense of the Red Raiders (2-1) spent.

Arkansas finished with 438 rushing. Arkansas held the ball (40:39) for more than twice the time the Red Raiders had it (19:21), grinding out 31 first downs.

Are we talking about trading Arky for Tech? I don't see how this would effect the standings in either conference.

I enjoy their loyalty and fervor for their sports teams despite how fricked up their school/teams are. I loved beating them those last few years but now I kind of miss them. If I had to choose one team to start a series with out of the old B12 South teams it would definitely be them even though it would make the least economic sense

The quotes was from a previous thread, I cant find the thread I was looking at earlier on their messageboard. It is quite obvious they are jelly of aTm.

They would probably be mid tier west and top 4 east. That offense would be a mismatch for some SEC teams and they would take a couple down in conference play every year. Add in all the SEC creampuff games throughout the season at home and they would be a 7-8 win team every year. I hate tech tho but this is an honest assessment.

Love Tech fans, especially now that we don't play them and can watch them from afar. It's great how they talk smack about A&M now while casually forgetting that we beat them the last 3 times we played them and actually had a streak of over 1,000 days where we had beaten them in all 18 sports we played them against in the BDF on our way out before they squeaked out a win over our Tennis team shortly before we left for the SEC.

At this point they are almost sad though. They suck at everything and are a long way from turning it around. It used to be with Spike Dykes they had a cool good ol' boy coach that would find a way to sneak up and beat teams and then they had the Mike Leach "pirate" era. Now they just suck and no one would ever move to Lubbock, Texas if they have other options. There is nothing there except dust storms and fans that throw crap at you and it is several hundred miles from anything.
