SC winning the bball natty has potential to help CU recruiting in my view.
I'm curious...how?

i don't think it will hurt.
might encourage more good in state players to stay in state.

still making the big dance out of ACC is much tougher.
fortunately wake, g tech, and nc state and pitt are all down from where they used to be or clemson would really be in tough shape.
just looking at the programs in it, CU could easily have a solid team and still be dead last in some years. i guess that's what kills recruiting, kids don't think CU has much of a shot to make the dance.
hopefully duke and unc fall apart once coach k and roy retire.

Is the overall competition in the ACC tougher than the SEC? Sure, I don't think anyone will argue that. However, that is taken into consideration when the committee takes 1/2 of the conference to the tournament. You don't have to be great in terms of those other teams, merely average to make it to the Tourney.

i wish Clemson could move to a mid major in basketball. if they cud just get into the tournament, they could make some noise some years.

I guess with Clemson's rich basketball tradition playing in the NIT was too much of a downer and the boys couldn't get up for the game.

Clemson had some good teams under Purnell but never could get pass the first round of the NCAA tourney. Brownell is not a horrible coach but he hasn't been consistent. They have had some wins over the top teams in the ACC over the last few years but never could build off of those wins.

CLemson was in NIT finals 3 years ago.
if you look at final 4 in NIt, it is all lower seeds. think some 6 seeds. parity

we don't have players that are good enough. he's getting as much as he can out of who he can get. teams like UNC and Lville have huge guards.

In a top heavy conference like the ACC...I agree with this. While winning a conference title is a big goal, making the tourney should be the biggest goal. Make the tourney on a consistent bases and the recruiting would pick up.

how is the ACC more top heavy than SEC or other conferences. don't see that. they got 9 teams in. and 3 in NIT.

Shouldn't have used top heavy...Meant to say the ACC has more elite caliber teams at the top with unc, duke, and louisville. Syracuse has fallen a little bit but they are still a tough foe.

you are a weird looking guy who runs his mouth a lot. the other day you start talking about how I am probably ugly as though you are a handsome man. you don't have any room to be trashing anybody on their looks.
i note you started stalking me when I posted the other day that I don't think Bama should have made the title game a few years ago against LSU after losing to LSU and the conference.
you obviously butthurt about that comment and Clemson beating Bama this year. i get it.
