1) Aggie fan brings up gaudy JFF TD stats.

2) SEC fan shows that there was a significantly lower amount of those TD's scored against SEC defenses.

3) Aggie fans argue that TD stats aren't viable, that some TD's are more valuable than others, that stats are of no value, that fans have no right to reference stats when considering the on-field accomplishments of players

Is it relevant to compare a freshman with QBs that played for three of four years ? Compare them in their freshman year, and yes, JFF is definitely the best. Yet, we will have to wait for the next two or three years to eventually determine how he stacks up vs Tebow and Newton.

Bama fans argue that Trent Dilfer was better than Dan Marino. LSU fans yell "suck that tiger dick" then fart and eat boogers.

Based off on-the-field results, or potential?

On-the-field results:
1. AJ McCarron (2 BCS titles)
2. Tim Tebow (1 BCS title + Heisman)
3. Cam Newton (1 BCS title + Heisman)
4. Greg McElroy (1 BCS title)
5. (Tie) Aaron Murray (2 SEC East titles) & JFF (Heisman)

Potential?
1. Cam Newton
2. JFF
3. Aaron Murray
4. AJ McCarron
5. Connor Shaw / Jeff Driskel

You have to give Tebow some credit for the other BCS title, he was a key contributor.

Your on the field results with having Greg McElroy is laughable. He didn't do diddly-poo to help his team beat Texas the year he won a national championship. I don't agree with that list at all.

He is definitely on track to be in the top 3, but we need to make sure it wasn't a flash-in-the-pan type deal.

I get what you're saying but you don't just luck into doing what no player has ever done in the SEC since 1932. JM is the real deal, but he isn't a failure if he doesn't duplicate last year. It's not fair to ask a player to have the greatest season in SEC history TWO YEARS IN A ROW.

He's played one year; we don't know yet. I mean seriously, what if he gets injured in the first game of next season and never plays again?
