His OC didn't work out for them. Now they want to hire him?

Muschamp has taken a lot of heat. He has destroyed the Gator program. He has alienated himself in hostile territory. So, only one thing left to do:

bring our boy back home.

You've done well, soldier.

I don't care to be limited to former texas dc's but that's not really my point.

I guess if boom is out, I don't think he should be overlooked.

Boom is going to sit at home and cash fat assed checks from Florida for a few more years, or perhaps take a tv job. What he is not going to do is give up his buyout for a DC salary.

While I agree I think he takes time off, there is 0% chance anyone lets that guy anywhere near a camera.

If that is the case, I agree he should sit on his arse for that time. so I don't know booms detail tbh.

With Sumlin, there is talk of canning him on another board, but, because of the large cost of the buyout I am not so sure it would be worth it, rather than actually do something different like add incentives to win so many games, would probably be a cheaper alternative than to start anew again. Seriously, think we gone through this mistake two times now, and history be repeating, time will tell

ETA: sorry I know this isn't about Sumlin, but relevant to the buyout and coaching changes

for his sake i hope he decides to go back to being a d co. i think being a head coach just isn't what he's cut out to be.

Who needs a DC? Or does he get a reality show on the SEC Network?

SCAR's next DC and he's bringing Lawing back with him.

ETA: He and Spurrier are pals ... Lawing wants to come home. All the stars are about to be realigned and put back into their proper constellations.

I'd be shocked if Muschamp, Lawing and Spurrier are not already talking and ironing out the details.

chief doesn't have a national title at LSU. Bo and boom have national titles at LSU. IMO Boom> Chavis when it comes to dc.

Sumlin is not getting fired lol, if we lost every game the rest of the year by 50, then his seat would be warm, but he's not getting fired. It's one game. We've lost 3 in a row to teams all ranked in the top 5, that collectively have one loss and its to one of the others.

I don't think he gets fired right because of the recent pay raise. I was mention the knee jerk reactions of things I had read. Also, I don't want to fall into the trap of saying its okay because we lost to three ranked teams. That is bull. The reality is we played really bad and anyone keeping up with the season see A&M getting worse and worse each week. Saying that is fair assessment whether it comes from an Aggie, any SEC fan or former rivals.

That depends on his buyout clause. Ellis Johnson is still double-dipping from So Miss at Auburn. I know this for a fact because his wife and my wife and some of the other women in that circle talked about it with her when EJ was fired at So Miss and hired at Auburn.
