The only city that I've ever heard live gunfire in was St. Louis. Plus I hate the Cardinals.

Atlanta, Birmingham and Jackson are pretty terrible.

Charleston, Savannah, Nashville, Charlotte and Tampa are among the best.

I've spent considerable time in Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10. I don't think Memphis is anywhere near the city Charleston is, but there's nothing right or wrong about these lists, all subjective.
