That's actually a good question. LSU ran some option in 2011 with Jefferson

Not a shot at LSU at all but with all of those backs and the OL why not run some triple option. It would be highly effective.

frick. If LSU switches to the triple option our team is going to be admitted to the psych ward for PTSD. Georgia Southern was too soon man. Too soon.

LSU runs some zone read out of the Pistol and Shotgun. We can't go full time because Harris isn't a kid who can run that play consistently and keep it based off the read at the scrape because of his size. He's just not big enough to take the hits.
But let's be honest...it's not like we're having too much trouble running as of now. One of the things LSU has done is worked on or featured certain passing concepts each week.
We've run the jet sweep touch pass, we've run the comeback/deep out looks, we've run the seam to the TE, and the TE corner in red zone/tight zone. We've run a shite TON of post route/go route/fly patterns.
We just haven't run them all within a game. But we have a varied passing offense. Methinks we are running what we have to in order to win football games and save tape. Now yesterday was TERRIBLE and I wonder about our receivers. But we have it and we can do it when we want. We just need consistency on deep throws and catches from the receivers when their numbers are called.

Harris with Fournette and Guice in the back field, with Donte out wide....
Scary weapons, we have the players to be creative, but I think Les wants to stick with strictly I formation pound pound pound football. I hope this weekend, we sit Dural and Dupre, and give Quinn and Chark some shots

When LF is "only" getting yall 175 yards then there will be issues.
