When Will Ole Miss Become The Target of Social Justice Warriors...

on a larger scale. As some of you may know, Princeton has agreed to remove anything related to Woodrow Wilson from its school, including his name on buildings.

Ole Miss has more traditions (including the name) rooted in southern culture than most colleges and universities. It also has an ugly past (not to say that is not all better now).
Rationality has not been the cornerstone of this movement that started at Mizzou and is sweeping the country.
When will it hit Oxford and to what effect?

I don't think any other college will be stupid enough to let a moronic movement like what happened at Mizzou occur at their university. That is - they won't let the mob win.

The thing about Ole Miss is that EVERYONE knows their history.
Black folks at Ole Miss don't have any excuse. They knew the history and signed up for it. If I were a black person and concerned about race relations, Ole Miss would be the absolute last place I'd attend school. Anyone there doesn't have a leg to stand on. Deal with it and STFU.
Heck, the KKK was having rallies on their door steps just a few years ago.

Most SEC schools could fall under the Princeton umbrella.
Mississippi State has several buildings and statues of Confederate generals, but they also have the Grant Presidential Library.

Our interim chancellor is black so I think we're good for awhile. We proactively changed flags and street names, though.

They already were SJW'ed out of Slow Dixie, their mascot, their street names, and most recently their state's flag. I'd say you are too late. They've already lost and didn't fire a shot.

You cannot judge yesterday by today's morals.
Today it is illegal to deny anyone equal rights or college entrance based on race. Then it wasn't.
The citizens of this nation corrected that YEARS ago.
It would be nice to hang all the guilt for atrocities on the South and on the KKK. No one will answer the obvious question....why is the battle flag singled out? The KKK carries the Christian flag and the American flag. Those are not mentioned for review. They also wear WHITE sheets, and when was the last time you boycotted a white sale at JC Penney because of the KKK?
This country has gone damn nuts giving in to these supposed injustices when those times have been corrected over a hundred years. Flags don't kill people or incite murder....PEOPLE do that.
There is a lot of frustration and unrest in this country, and the crazies take note and do the incomprehensible. Calmer minds try compromise. Crazies load up, take names, and kick butt. Of course, it is so very tragic that all of this continues to happen, but I see no end in site.
When it's ALL gone, what will be offensive next?

Ole Miss is run by a bunch of lawyers.
That's how you end up with a school that had a plantation owner as mascot and called themselves rebels for a century suddenly say they are black bears.
It is right there in the open at OM. Any African American that goes there can't say they didn't have warning.
