At some point in time they will have a dance team on the sidelines, but the yell leaders will ALWAYS lead the yells at A&M

Good looking women at A&M are visitors.

"Cheerleaders" are nothing but gymnasts prancing around doing routines on the sideline totally divorced from what's happening on the field. It's hard to think of a more useless auxillary group.
Dance teams are fine, if they've got something to dance to. However, since the music at Kyle Field comes from a military band, it's hard to see a dance team bumping and grinding to the theme from Patton, or "Strategic Air Command."
Don't look for things to change at A&M.

Leave it to an Aggie to find the negatives in having hot female cheerleaders at a football game.

It's for real. The person pictured was a cheerleader at Oklahoma about two years ago.
BTW A&M does not do cheers. We do yells...thus yell leader.

We can still have female yell leaders. The only problem is all the chicks who have ran for yell leader were not hotties.

Don't they already use Trannies on special occasions?

I don't give a frick if you call them cheerleaders or dance team, I don't want flashes on TV to some ghey looking dude swinging a jizz sock after JFF scores another touchdown. You can keep the yell boys because that's your tradition, but fricking give TV something else to flash to. I truly don't get what's so hard about that concept and why some Aggies are so resistant to having women on the sidelines.
For what it's worth, my son says the band only plays 6th grade camp songs. Kinda creepy if you ask me. Maybe they should update their play list.
BTW-Still drinking jumbos after y'all shutting up the B12 bitches last night. I know y'all have put tejas in your rear view mirror, but I would have loved to have seen y'all give them an OU type beat down as a final to them.

Please...
No former student votes on the milkmen you have now. IOW, <5% of your students are CD's. Why can't the other 95% vote 5 GD women in to wear white unis at the very fricking least?

CTs?!?
CT = Corps Turds
I agree with you. A chick ran for yell last year, although I want to say she's since been busted stealing a bicycle. The basic problem is that CTs vote as a block and no one else bothers to vote. In my five years as an undergrad I never voted in a single student election including yell leader. The current students need to do as I say not as I did.

I seriously almost felt bad that all TV had to pan to was some dude looking like he was getting arse raped every time JFF scored. I guess just count me as one that will never understand how supposed heterosexuals could be so anti-women on the sidelines.

So it comes down to a student vote? It's not a decision made by administration or the department?

It's a student election. Honestly, I didnt even know a chick ran for yell last year. The only people who actually vote are the CTs, chicks who want to look at hot guys, and friends of the people running.
I love the idea of having female yell leaders but it'd be pretty hard to motivate students to vote.

Ah. So we're waiting on me to croak, then. Good.
Young Aggie's premise is BS, though. Old Ags have nothing to do with this. Anybody any sex is welcome to run for the student-elected position of yell leader. If stupid young Aggies want to blame somebody, they should take a look in the mirror.
I can't see it happening and am a bit out of sorts that some young Aggie whipper snappers think it's a good idea. Fortunately they are too apathetic to vote. For you young idiots and the OP: Why should A&M try to be like everybody else? Tell me one good reason. Is it so those mean secrant people won't make fun of us?
I've been wrong about a lot of stuff, though. The Corps company I was in is now co-ed. I cannot imagine how that possibly works. Boggles my mind. So it could happen, but it's a bad idea.

Did A&M get the internets like everyone else? Seriously, adding cheerleaders wouldn't make you like everyone else. You would maintain your identity by keeping the yell boys. I truly don't understand such a strong aversion to having cheerleaders. I guess you're saying it's just so you can be different? Personally, I'd want to be known for being different for something other having disdain for considering having women on the sidelines, but to each their own I suppose.

Ok, maybe I'm on the wrong thread here, but just trying to understand the reasoning. I'm not talking about a female yell leader. I'm talking about having cheerleaders/dance team in addition to the yell leader guys. Is it a student vote that determines if you have cheerleaders in addition to the yell squad or is adding cheerleaders and administration/department decision.
