Agreed.
I assume it will get changed as our generation gets older and into more prominent positions to make these changes. Gotta get the old guard out.

What's crazy is that he was very unpopular before the the whole Meredith situation. He gained a lot of popularity by opposing Kennedy on integration. The night he gave his famous speech at halftime of the Ole Miss game in Jackson, he had already agreed with Kennedy that he was going to admit Meredith into the university. Then when the crowd started chanting his name he went back on his decision and then gave his now infamous "I love Mississippi" speech.

That's it. I knew something big around Jackson was named after him but I couldn't remember it. I think there's a street by the capital named after him too. I could be wrong though.
