We were good when Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, and Vandy were all consistent tourney teams. Tennessee and Vandy sort of falling off has the hurt the conference.

Mississippi State was consistently pretty good before firing Rick Stansbury. They almost knocked off Memphis in the tourney the year they went to the championship and should have beaten Cal's first Kentucky team in the SEC championship.

Yeah, there is no team outside of Florida right now who I would say "that's the favorite to win the tourney".

I will be surprised if WSU makes it to the elite8.

I think that's just when Arkansas fans starting giving up on the sport because Nolan was getting near the end of his run.

Wrong.

Had Arkansas fans given up, Nolan's career would not have ended in a meltdown like it did. They didn't give up, the pressure was increasing exponentially each year, the breaking point was the football team losing to UNLV in the LV Bowl.

Huh? You say? Arkansas fans are fricking dumb in that they expect the basketball team to be good when the football team sucks because that is the only time some of them will take an engaged interest in the team, but still do not follow the sport that closely.
