So, Trent reached LSU's ceiling and used this success to land a destination job

Yeah, sure, whatever. Your constant troll is constant.

LSU basketball has absolutely sucked the past few years. Trent Johnson not wanting to recruit was a huge part of that.

If LSU being ranked is our ceiling, then where is Arkansas' ceiling? The floor?

I mean since any current recruits have been alive?

Trent wasn't actually fired, but yeah he was gonna get fired if he chose to stick around for another year.

Yeah, I edited as soon as I hit "submit." I remembered that he was not actually fired. It just seemed like it. EVERYONE wanted him gone.

Arkansas has been ranked this season, but this isn't about Arkansas, this is about the delusion that some LSU fans have about their program and Trent Johnson's choosing to take a better job.

You should worry about your own program whose tourney drought is longer than ours

Uh where were you when Trent was averaging 10 wins per year at TCU? Let's see how he fares in conference play.

Great! Arkansas has been RANKED!!!

Wow. Amazing.

Do you have the t-shirt yet?

"The most success that Arkansas has had in a decade!" t-shirt.

Fantastic.

Good for him. Classy guy who was s terrible fit at Lsu. Him leaving was mutually beneficial. I can tell you're scared though with what Johnny Jones is building it's okay to be scared it's okay. When you watch what we are and then know that we have the number one recruit in the country coming in next year and it's normal to have fear and anxiety knowing you will be wallowing along in mediocrity for the foreseeable future

Dale, Ark has Mike, he's been there for a few years now, where's the '40 Minutes of Hell'? Sure, Anderson will have some good teams and Hogs improve as a program..

But, Coach Cal has THREE starting Fives of Parade-AAs..back when Nolan was there..he would have had a few of those 2nd and 3rd string Ky players..

Aka..wake up..those glory days are over..this is Ark's new reality...for now just another program..yet one with an elite ceiling and great fanbase + arena.

Was LSU ranked in 08-09? B/c I remember going to a game in Beards-Eaves when LSU came to town and we won 69-53. I was about 14 years old. LSU had Marcus Thornton if I recall.

TJ couldn't recruit for sh!t. I am unlike the masses of LSU fans, I think him to be an excellent X&O HC, and think his 2009 season riding a POY/Iron Five/Two Man Bench to the outright SEC Title, plus being the only team in the NCAA tourney to give UNC a scare of a game, to be one of LSU Hoops best coaching jobs of the last 60+ years.

TJ was allowed to walk with grace rather than..the option. He like Brady couldn't recruit well enough nor coach an excitable enough style of ball to fill the PMAC..which admittedly is still a huge problem facing LSU from returning back to the elite levels of NCAA like under Barnum and Bailey Dale Brown. It's why so many LSU fans are big Bruce Pearl fans going back a decade..and would've been open to his hiring.

But, JJ despite some X&O limitations, is the right man for the job, he's got it on course..just like Mike Anderson is slowly but surely doing the same.

17-0 only would have hurt an lsu fan if lsu had won the Bama game because lsu would have been kept from winning the west. Because of Bama loss I wouldn't care if it was 37-0
