Malzahn won't get a sniff. He is already being exposed.

He has a bigger chance of being back at Springdale High than he does at Texas.

Even if he gets fired, I think he will get the Kiffin treatment where people say "Hes just a better OC than a HC" and some major school hires him. Which may be accurate but

Gus won't be getting many phone calls after going 7-5 this year and 8-5 last year. The gimmick is up.

As bad as Auburn has looked, that statement is completely incorrect. Gus is King of gimmick . Nah, but for real a different Auburn team will show up Sat., so I hope LSU is ready

Why on earth would Texas want him?

Why on earth would Saban want Lane Kiffin? Some men make better OC's.

With Texas having trouble offensively are Auburn fans worried at all that UT may come after Malzahn to become its new Offensive Coordinator? Seems like they could match anything he is making at Auburn since Texas can supposedly beat any price, so i hear. Or do Auburn fans feel like Malzahn is likely to turn down whats obviously a horizontal move??
They might change AD's in Austin this year, but if that happens, the new boy will be given a chance to settle in, evaluate Strong next season, and then decide if he wants to make a change. Given the bureaucracy in Austin, you can't expect them to make a change at the top in time for them to make a change at the head football coach level.

And, if Patterson isn't fired soon, he's going to have to stick with Strong another year anyway, or else admit that his biggest hire was a total flop--in which case, he might as well clean out his own desk because they won't let him make a second mistake.

Not worried about Strong, people who follow recruiting know how well he recruited underrated players, and better yet developed them for the NFL. He will turn it around in a couple of years.

After the last two weeks, Texas will wait until they can determine if Malzahn has terminal Chizikitis.
