Yes, they did. I was there.
When State tied if at 3, a good number of their fans started to chant "SEC," and our fans started booing.
And then our baseball team responded with 9 runs in two innings, only for our fans to start chanting "SBC" in response.

I was at the game and it was MSU who started the chant when they tied it up 3-3. When UL went up 6-3 they started a SEC chant or an SBC chant but it sure sounded like a SEC chant to me. Who cares UL beat the shite out of MSU and now its a one game winner take all

It started when a dumbass MSU fan started pointing to his bicep and yelling "YOU IN DA SEC NOW" and then a bunch of other idiots started chanting S-E-C after. quote:

I was there as well. It sure as hell sounded like a mocking "SEC" chant from our fans. Most Cajun fans hate the Sun Belt and do not take pride in it for sure.

I agree, it's really dumb. It's even worse when our fans chant it because it just reinforces the stereotype of our school riding the coattails of the more successful schools in the conference.
Plus, it's got the silly "South will rise again" undertones
We've been really good about getting the "Maroon - White" chants going lately. Don't know why we didn't just do that.

While watching on espn3 I never heard the "SEC chant" from State. Not saying it didn't happen from a few State turds but it was loud and clear the next inning or two from the ULaLa fan base.

This engie kid is a fricking idiot. Nearly every time I see him arguing for or against something he is clearly wrong. I heard a replay of the game and you can clearly hear state fans starting this chant
