Like when Josh Reed went in dry on Alabama 14 years ago.

Tavon Austin from WVU had 11 catches for 187 yards on LSU back in 2011, no TDs though

one that comes to mind is Kelly Washington in 2001 in Knoxville. 11 catches, 256 yards and a TD. Think it was the SEC record at the time until Reed broke it later that same year

It looked like there were 3 Josh Reed's on the field and we couldn't cover any of them!

Donte Moncrief, 2012 Egg Bowl: 7 receptions 173 yards 3 TDs against two (albeit very soft) NFL corners

La Tech's General Patton sticks out. Probably just because I didn't expect it.

Not thinking of anyone specific off the top of my head, but that's just because our secondary opened up nice opportunities for multiple receivers to succeed.

Mike Evans: 2013 Auburn - 11 receptions for 287 yards and 4 touchdowns

Still lost.

Last year Cooper had 8 catches for 140 yards and 2 TDs. That's probably borderline torn apart.

Crowder in the Peach Bowl had 12 catches for 163 and 1 TD. They still lost though.

Evans also got Bama the same year. 7 catches for 279 yards and 1 TD.

Combined that 566 yards and 5 TDs. That is a solid season let alone 2 games.

surely a Receiver has a had great game against bama since this game but I do not ever remember a QB-WR combo torching a team quiet like Rohan to reed did in 2001

quote:

Josh Reed 19 catch 293 yard 1 td
quote:

Rohan Davey 35/44 528 yards 2 tds
quote:

Michael Clayton 7 catches 126 yards

In classic LSU fashion we still score via the run game

Patton has 21 catches, 233 yards, and 4 TDs. However the way that game was called you couldn't breathe on a WR without getting a PI. I think we stopped trying.

Pharoh Cooper destroyed Tenn's defense last year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8fxz-ZXqog

He had:
11 Receptions
223 Receiving Yards
2 Receiving TD's
3 Rushes
23 Rushing Yards
1 Rushing TD
1 Complete Pass
30 Passing Yards
1 Passing TD

4 Total TD's.

He absolutely dominated tennessee's defense.

Like Amari Cooper did against Tennessee in 2014? (Well, he did it to Florida and Auburn as well, but UT was his best game).

9 catches - 224 yards - 2 TD
24.9 yards per catch

Quinton Patton for La Tech. I don't remember exactly, but over 200 yards and at least 3 TDs.

ETA: already posted. That was an insane game.

DeAndre Hopkins dismantled LSU in 2012. I remember watching that game praying someone would stop him. He was incredible. Watkins went down early and I thought that gave us the best chance at winning and Jeremy Hill's first half was incredible. But DeAndre destroyed us.

Stats:
13 catches
191 yards
2 TD's
and one hell of a 3rd down conversion

I don't give a shite what his stats were against LSU. I was sick of watching Kevin Norwood catch big pass after big pass against LSU for 2 years.
