The overall schedule we had this year was rated the toughest of anybody's in the last 37 years, at the end of the season.

UGA, A&M, and AU were all ranked to begin the season so yes the road slate was orginally thought to be pretty tough for Bama.

We play a road schedule like that on a regular basis.
Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Tennessee have mostly sucked over the last decade.
Teams ebb and flow in terms of difficulties, as do schedules.

When is the last time Bama has played more than 4 true road games in one season? And please don't count that neutral stadium crap.

Nothing will be as tough as last year's schedule. Supposedly it was the toughest SOS of any National Champion over the last 25 years. And now the SEC West seems to be falling a part not getting tougher.

2011, 4 SEC road games and a game @Penn State
When you only play 8 conference games a year, you're almost always going to play 4 road games.

the decline is real ... we'll be lucky to finish 8-4 ... ut's on the upswing for the 2nd year, arkansas is on the 3rd year of their build, and lsu has finally regained its recruiting prowess by finishing with a top 5 class instead of a top 10 class ... and auburn hired kevin steele ...

Looks like 4 wins to me. I'm never picking us over Alabama until we play better against them than we have recently.
