When is Bama going to upgrade non conference schedule

I enjoyed going to the PSU game but in reality who cares. OOC has no real value over the past 6 or 7 years. The SEC is been considered a power conference that the winner and even 2nd best finisher gets a shot at the title. Now with the playoffs I am not sure OOC has anymore value.

People that worry about OOC schedules in the SEC are the ones trying to validate their teams accomplishments or I should say lack of within the conference.

This. Actually those outside the SEC don't realize that because we only play 8 conference games, we must therefore play FOUR OOC games. It is very difficult to agree to contracts in advance with other big name schools for one game, let alone two in the same year.

Though most of the SEC has managed to play at least 1 legit 'power 5' team every year for the past few years (i.e. Alabama - Penn State, Va.Tech, Clemson, West Va. etc.; Auburn - Kansas State, WSU, etc.; Ole Miss - Boise State, etc.; LSU - UNC, Wash, WVU, TCU, Wisc, Oregon, Syr.), it still leaves 3 OOC games we all have to fill.

By no means is Syracuse a national power, I realize that. But it's something different. It's better than playing Arkansas St or North Texas, or even yet ANOTHER neutral site game....
