If Alabama missed out on relevant postseason play largely because the Tide lost to LSU for five consecutive years, people would be calling for Saban's head. As a matter of fact, they would have been calling for his head after the third consecutive loss.

I remember sitting in tiger stadium in 2006 telling a tiger fan I didn't care if Bama lost out as long as they would go and find a coach that could make them competitive again. He said no man I like Shula he's a nice guy. He just won 10 games.
