The Rose Bowl is truly a magnificent place to see a football game.

The only thing better would be a more SEC like atmosphere outside the game. The mellow cali vibe is cool, it just needs a bit more

Tuscaloosa 2011

That was one of the more hostile environments I've ever been in and I loved every second of it

We had tailgate food thrown at us by a fat trailer trash lady-gump after we were going crazy from watching the Ford run in OT

Athens is a close second... but we lost the game

Stopped by Oxford on a Thursday on our way up to Fayetteville for the Arky game. Went to a few bars, I think one was The Library. Had chicken on a stick. Stayed at a fraternity party house above a bar.

Had fun in Fayetteville aside from the game that year. Damn you Tiffin!

Saw Mr. Pookie at one of the fraternity houses then went out to a few bars. All the girls asked if we were from Bama, must have been the Bama bangs.

Gainesville a few times in the early-mid 90s. One great game and a couple of stinkers, but always had a lot of fun.

Gamecocks vs Ohio State, 2001, Outback Bowl in Tampa Bay.

Their fans were absolutely horrible, arrogant, insufferable excuses for human beings before the game.

Watching the progression of utter and complete disbelief progress to profound shock and then what almost appeared to be severe physical pain and suffering among those same fans as we proceeded to spank that arse was extremely gratifying.

That was the most fun I've ever had tailgating. I was on the quad from 8am until kickoff. There was a tense atmosphere before the game, but I didn't notice much hostility. Fans of both teams were nervous as hell but seemed to get along pretty well.

From your perspective, how would you describe the atmosphere of the day prior to the game? Obviously once we started getting whooped the air went out of the building, but leading up to yalls first TD, how would you rate the atmosphere? I've been to a loooot of games and I think that was one of the craziest, more intense atmospheres I've ever witnessed leading up to kick.

It was a day-long party, especially after Florida lost to Ole Miss in the early game.

We rented a limo from New Orleans and packed eight Australians in with us.

They had never seen "grid iron" football and were amazed at tailgating.

Been to BR several times, and it's always my favorite. Will be there again in November.

I really enjoyed the Bama-Texas matchup... it was a beautifully sunny, 75-degree day and the UT coeds were wearing their burnt orange skirts and cowgirl boots with tan legs... and, of course, the Bama coeds were wearing crimson and houndstooth. IMO, it was a much better atmosphere than the 2012 Bama-ND game in South Florida that just seemed too "corporate" for my taste.

I don't know about favorite, but most memorable would be Glendale for obvious reasons and going to Syracuse in 2001. The Syracuse game was right after 9/11 so traveling was weird, empty airports. We got our arse kicked but had a great time in the downtown area around campus drinking with SU people.

I love going to Bryant Denny West, Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. Learned to remove any Bama paraphernalia from my car prior to parking and to watch out for piss bombs but love beating them every year. So much fun.

Best I've ever seen (including 9-6 LSU in Tuscaloosa, and the rematch in New Orleans). Both fan bases were totally amped leading up to it.
