300+ carries would be running a player into the ground

All they have to do is point to success and longevity in the NFL of these backs...

Like Darren McFadden?

The guy who had 325 carries at Arkansas in 2007, and since has only played 1 full season in the NFL? The guy that has missed 29 regular season games in his NFL career?

I guess when you run that many times you'll put up a shite ton of yards that you can brag about like it's something special.

I reckon it is something special when do that and still average 6.3 yards per carry against the best defenses in college football.

Do you disagree?

Could you put percentages of total carries beside the individual number of carries? That would further your point more, I feel.

Thanks, brah

What I really like about this is how you leave out that the #2 running back isn't one at all, most, if not all of these years. It's the QB who will get at least 50 "rushes" a year on scrambles alone when pass plays break down.

So please, tell us again how much Malzahn likes to spread the ball to the running backs.

They're so insecure about their rushing yards.

2009 and 2011 include running backs as #2.

I don't know if you're new to football or not, but the vast majority of Cam Newton and Nick Marshall's rushes came on design plays. That's kind of how the Auburn offense was run through the altered wildcat and read-option.

That's the cool thing about offense, bro. You don't have to just spread the carries through running backs. Quarterbacks, running backs AND wide receivers can all contribute, just like Gus Malzahn wants them to.

Its all they have.

They certainly can't gloat about the bowl wins that resulted from them.
