What's up with this 12th Fairway Person?

That thread about Freeze being creepy was hilarious.
There is absolutely NOTHING creepy about a coach letting his kids know they are cared about and loved. WE ALL need to know we matter and that we are loved. Does Freeze still love them even when they mess up and he punishes them? YES!!!! The Bible says that the father ( father-figure/coach) that does NOT chastise a child's transgressions HATES the child. God disciplines His children because HE LOVES THEM! I have never known the Bible to give bad advice, but then the scoffers will run with this one! it won't change the TRUTH or the reality.

There are many faiths on a football team. Freeze does not FORCE anybody to believe in Jesus and the Bible. He is simply doing what any good disciple of Christianity does.....witnessing and modeling.
You see, to the world it may seem foolish to bring God into the setting. For me, I ask how do you keep God out? You do not have that kind of power. The FCA ( fellowship of Christian athletes) rents a space in the IPF ( indoor practice facility) for services on Sunday. NO player is required to attend
the services.

Christians cannot legislate morality OR faith. That is not even required of believers. If you know the Bible(??), you know faith in the Lord is a choice. Some will follow; some won't.

Prayer is NOT forbidden in public schools.....FORCED prayer is. The public school is not a platform for religion as there are many religions represented in the context of a public school.
Your LIFE is the platform. Freeze is a man of faith who understands that every athlete is so much more than a physically talented person in shoulder pads that can win a football game. You cannot separate the mental, physical, and spiritual parts of a person. Freeze knows this. He simply makes sure that the total athlete has the opportunity to grow in stature and maturity. I like knowing Coach Freeze is on my side of the equation when it comes to "growing up" athletes and young people. He won't win them all. He will simply give the opportunity and let God do the rest.

NO ONE can stop you from praying anywhere at any time....NO ONE!!! You may not be able to say it out loud, but God can communicate without a microphone!

Someone in the thread said religion has no place in football. REALLY? Is your God in a box that you take out now and then to remind you of your religion?

Christianity is NOT a religion. Religion is MAN'S way to God. Christianity is GOD's way to God by mercy and grace through Jesus Christ. For the Christian God is everywhere all the time. We cannot wish him away simply because it might be "creepy" to have Him there.

You want to know what is creepy? NOT knowing enough about one's faith to make an intelligent accusation. Coach Freeze is a fine man who LOVES his team. Under his coaching this includes God in football. For that I am most thankful!
