lol never thought anybody would compare Clemson to Texas. Texas compares more to UNC except they have some success in football.
I think a Clemson winning a title in football, especially in the modern era, coming out of the most maligned power 5 conference and being a smaller state school that is not that well known nationally, would be more special than an Alabama or Texas or Ohio State type program winning another. Clemson is about as close as you will get to college football's version of Butler or VCU.

So, the Clemson fan comes to an SEC board, talks about how Clemson should be in the SEC over USC, then goes on about how Clemson is doing just fine without being in the conference that they desperately want to join?

lol it was an obvious joke, to tweak SC fans.
I don't ever hear any Clemson fans talk about wanting to be in SEC. I think ACC is a solid schedule of teams. I wouldn't have a problem being in SEC either though. Clemson is about the only school that fits in both.
If Clemson had been in SEC, we would not have been able to go the BCS game against Ohio State two years ago, which is one of our best wins of all time plus one of the best games I've seen.

I don't see how that matters if Clemson has plenty of money and gets good recruits. SC has likely always had more money than Clemson but Clemson won 60 percent of our games.
just look at all the big name programs around the country, floating on a sea of cash and losing. money can't buy you love or wins.
Facilities can only be so nice, a certain amount of money ensures you will have nice facilities. there is no reason for ACC schools to get greedy. if you have nice facilities and a coach who can sell the school to kids, then u can get good recruits.

only goal right now is least win our division consistently. I think Clemson could be a program that wins ACC title consistently. i'd be happy with that without any national titles, to be honest.

It is a high goal. Obviously it isn't easy if Clemson has only done it twice in past 20 years or so.
ACC is majority of major programs on the east coast. Nothing to be ashamed of if you win it

winning our division gives us good chance to win the title too, especially if Miami and Virginia Tech are a little down. FSU is in our division. we could have had least 2 more titles if not for FSU being in our division and our one loss being to them. lol
