Dude, a walkon can go anywhere they want. They don't have to enter the transfer portal

Not mostly. ENTIRELY.

(With the possible exception of one graduate transfer - White, who lost a lot of playing time to Russell.)

We did lose some really good young talent - Denver, PJ, and Chris. But those were three guys that were suspended and might not have been allowed back to school.

Maybe someone who is good at math can explain to me how you replace possibly 40 or more outgoing roster players with 11 recruits

They did not do it this year, and truthfully I am somewhat surprised we did not lose more real impact players.

I can appreciate a well, thought out post.

The only thing I would say is we are a couple of days into portal season, therefore, I would hesitate to make this proclamation. Long way to go with the portal this year.

Completely agree. There will be a handful more. Hopefully no surprises. Chris Marshall was not a surprise yesterday. Like Harris, the off the field issues were more than the university will tolerate so doesn't matter what the athletic dept said, he is out.

Most people also don't really catch on that recruiting classes are about 2 years behind on the field success/non-success. The impact of the horrible thing we saw on the field this year will be felt in the 2024 recruiting class moreso than the class coming this year. And at this point there simply is not a way to measure what that damage will be.

If Jimbo slips up next year on the field like this year, he will be become dead man walking purely from a recruiting perspective if he even survives.

TENNESSEE

5

RB Justin Williams-Thomas 4th team

RB Len’Neth Whitehead. 5th team and missed yr with injury

WR Jimmy Calloway never plays, has stayed in the doghouse but a talented kid. Will do well in the right situation

WR Jimmy Holiday. Limited snaps another guy with talent. Will help some team

TE Miles Campbell 4th or 5th team. Raw potential but rumored to have never dedicated himself to college ball

UGA still with so few transfers is amazing to me.

Bruh, no one is going to transfer while they still have a chance to earn a national championship ring. Check back in here after the playoffs are over.
