Cam Newton 2010 Iron Bowl.

Although certainly one of the worst losses ever, the threads by Auburn fans after that season are hilarious to read.

There was one that proclaimed Saban would be done by the end of 2011, that Chizik would be the next great coach in college football, and that Alabama would never win another championship in their lifetime.

Cam brought on a level of melt never seen before or since. It was an entire conference, if not nation melt. In some circles it continues to this day.

What's the record for most consecutive days of melt?

1045 days and counting since 1/9

Yes it's been a nice, though often fortuitous run for bama since 2012 - 4 in a row and 4 of the last 6.
But you were bound to make a run.

After all, LSU won 7 of the first 8 this decade from bama, including 5 in a row from 2003 to 2007.
LSU went 9-3 vs Bama from 2000 to 2011. And 2 of those 3 losses came down to the final minute.

Pretty impressinve...

I considered the whole ATPB thread a melt of sorts. Cam was like a set of finger nails on chalkboards to Auburn's rivals. But 1/9 has been longer running.

Our fans are a bigger laughing stock than our offense, and that's saying something.

The reason why Alabama fans always mention this is because nobody gives Alabama full credit for that victory, other than ESPN.

Since Saban left Miami to and took the job at Bama.
