To me with LSU it's the same as this year:
If they can have good OL play their offense will be fine. They have the qb and playmakers to be pretty potent. They had some injuries on the OL that hurt them down the stretch this season.
Defensively they always have talent and potential to be one of the nations best. Granted they have players to replace but that doesn't seem to be too hard for them.
I'll say anywhere from 9-3 to 12-0 is possible. With The Hat you just never know.

What's the rants general consensus on LSU in 2013?
To which Rant are you referring?
Tiger Rant? no consensus, but two camps:
either12-0, or about 7-5.
SEC rant? 10-2.

11-1.
But that's just off the top of my head without looking at anything. And I think you who the loss is to.

Top 5, 11-1 but more likely 10-2. But that is as good as I would project Bama, UF and UGA too.
Bama and/or UF
Bama and/or UF

Undefeated and National Champions. Predictable but better executed offense. Legit passing threat at TE from newbies. Weaker secondary but better lb crew. DL about the same as I think M&M had average years to be honest. More threat from RBs in passing game with experienced line and adequate depth. The understanding, hopefully, for Miles that he needs to win it all to keep the program at 2nd best and fend off new conference foes from making their mark. All this and luck with injuries to me signal a special season.

I agree with this. It seems like there was a bit of toxic energy plaguing the team and once they got rid of it, they had a bit more confidence and they grew up a bit. If they can carry that momentum into next season, and if Mett finds a groove, I think they will be tough to beat.
That said, I don't really know who's coming back next year, and Miles always seems to make the easy tasks difficult and the difficult tasks easy.

I said we'd lose 2 games this year, 3 worst case.
I believe Draconian and I were the only LSU posters on the SEC Rant to say we'd lose twice this year.
Next year, I'm not so sure about.
I love me some Mett and Hill.
But the schedule is quite beastly. I don't have faith in Miles to lose 2 or less every year until the end of time.
But... frick it... I'm going to say we lose one game in the regular season... to Georgia. After that, I think we run the table until Atlanta. Not gonna predict beyond that because it's a complete unknown who we'd play.
So 11-1 to start and a trip to Atlanta. If it's a rematch against Georgia, heads will explode.
Happy now?

Anywhere from 0-3 losses. We look good for next year (depends who all returns) but LSU is so unpredictable it's hard to tell
