I thought we were trying to limit the number of Manziel threads??

I think we've moved on to slowing down the Texas HC threads

If 30 seconds between flash/boom, field has to be cleared

Game is delayed until a 30 minute space between last flash/boom. If another flash/boom at 29 minutes, the clock resets to 30 minutes.

It has to be at least 20 miles away I pretty sure, and if there's a strike within 20 miles they postpone until 30 minutes after the last strike.

Heard after the UNC-USC game that around 12 miles away they tell the stadium theres dangerous weather conditions in the area. around 10 miles away they tell the stadium again that weathers on the way and to take cover when told to. A lightning strike within 8 miles of the stadium requires a 30 minute delay until the last lightning strike is outside of the 8 miles radius.

Numbers might not be exactly right

Is it supposed to be stormy or just raining tomorrow night? They keep changing whether it is even supposed to rain during the game on the news in Alabama.

Suspension of play or start until lightning is clear of area (not sure of distance) for 30 min.

I think...

Thanks for the link. It gives guidelines but apparently defaults to the schools. I guess we would need to know what Tiger Stadium's policy is.

I live in Katy, TX and it has been lightning off-n-on for the last three hours.

"Alabama at Missouri 2012"

Ole Miss at Alabama 1994 was the scariest lightning during game situation I've ever experienced. Storm developed out of nowhere right over the stadium and lightning was popping big time. A member of the JP tv crew outside the stadium ended up getting struck by lightning.
