He was the RB/WR coach. Auburn offered him the OC position with a big pay raise. Freeze is trying to put his old Ole Miss staff back together - you know, the one that went 5-7 (on the field) that had DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Evan Engram, Van Jefferson, Quincy Adeboyejo, Chad Kelly, Damore'ea Stringfellow....

So Lane is specifically pointing out that according to Nix’s contract he is to have play calling duties. If he doesn’t then he was lied to by Freeze.

This sums up the false excitement Aubie fans are feeling. The coach that has STAYED position coach his whole career. If I were an Auburn fan I’d be asking why he never got an upgrade at Ole Miss or how it’s taken so long for anyone to grab him up. Good recruiter though…
