What if I told you that $180,000 can buy you a championship but it can't buy you a coaching career.

Thanks, friend.
Wish it never was, but it was.
God's will.
Not my place to question nor understand.
Faith, forgiveness, & hope for better days ahead!

The 1963 Game of Change would be a great one, but it shows that not all Mississippi was racist back then, so we'll never see it.

Synopsis:

MSU won five straight SEC basketball championships, and went 24-1 in 1962. The governor of Mississippi would not allow a state institution to play against teams with black players.

In 1963, State won the SEC again, and was once again invited to the NCAA Tournament. Coach McCarthy snuck the team out of town. Coaches went to Memphis, starters hid in the trunks of vehicles while reserves drove past road blocks. They all made it to Nashville and flew to Michigan where they lost to eventual national champion Loyola.

Was going to post this. It would be a legitimate 30 for 30.

What if I told you a former Big 10 coach went on to host a Travel Channel show?
