I find it hard to understand, LSU people "outraged" over issues related to a cat 3 hurricane, when what they wanted was to profit from the storm by manipulating another undeserved cheating corrupt free home game. LSU could have gone to Gainesville this week but they were so scared of Alabama next week that Aliva said they wouldn't play unless Alabama also gave up their bye week somehow. In other words LSU was dictating the entire conference schedule because they were AFRAID to play in Gainesville like they were scheduled...(but of course this was a SEC office plot, scheduling a game in Gainesville in the first place).
Saban would not have ducked the road trip because of an obsession with LSU and pure fear combined with the ugliest sense of entitlement in the conference.
If any other fan base trashed Louisiana over the fallout from a major hurricane, the corn dogs would foam at the mouth. The true cowards in all this were LSU. And every athletic office in the SEC sees it. LSU just used up whatever good will still remained from past hurricane events. And now no one will ever cut them any slack. Congratulations to LSU ... the most widely disliked program in the SEC.
My recommendation, just take your sorry arse whining bitching excuse making fan base to the big 12, who actually may have someone who gives a shite about your chicken shite opinions.

You are so full of shite.
No one from LSU (admin, fb team, fans) gave 2 fricks about where the game would have been played that weekend. WE ALL JUST WANTED IT PLAYED THAT WEEKEND.
Florida wussed out (not their fb team, their admins) because they knew with their injury issues, it was very likely a loss, putting them effectively out of the East race.
NOBODIES SAFETY WAS INVOLVED HERE. FLORIDA'S ADMINS DID NOT GIVE 2 FRICKS ABOUT ANYONES SAFETY. Foley said he felt confident (as late as the Thursday) the game would be played as scheduled. But in doing so, showed he did not care about the safety of: LSU team/staff/fans or even Florida fans statewide who would be travelling through affected areas. He also said he did not want the fb team to travel to another location "for their safety." But he was ok with his women's v-ball team travelling away on the same day. He was ok with hosting football recruits on the same day who had to travel there.
Florida's admins made this mess. They are the "bad guys," the slimy little molerats who deserved to be called out and be "embarrassed" for their actions. NOT LSU.
TBH I feel bad for the Florida players, they got fricked too by their admins. If Alleva had pulled crap like Foley did, I feel confident saying it would have been the last straw, and the LSU fans would have done whatever they could to get him out. Glad he manned up, and at least didn't let us get hosed to have to play 3 road games in 17 days.

Refreshing new insight. Who knew? Thanks for updating us.

We would have extended our thoughts and prayers to those affected in Gainesville and would likely have sent a truck with desperately needed supplies* much like we did for BR after the summer flood.
* suntan lotion, towels, frisbees, etc.

He wouldnt have said much. Done the ole Saban coachspeak.
"while we would certainly like to play the game we also understand the circumstances relative to the situation in the atlantic and we will hopefully get a chance to play this game. I know the players are excited as well as the fans but right now we are thinking about the people that will be in the affected areas."
Thats pretty much word for word.

Saban would have made a single call to his NCAA president buddy and UF would have then given him whatever the frick he wanted.

He would have ripped the first media person who said the game took precedence. I can tell you that for sure.
"Coach, Do you think there's any other way to play the game?"
Saban smirks, takes deep breath, looks at podium, taps fingers on side of podium, makes eye contact with media member
"What are we talking about here? A'ight, there's a hurricane, I dont know what it will do or where its goin, neither do you. There is no alternative. Our focus will be to continue to prepare our team and we will help out any way we can but you guys...need to understand the situation, a'ight. I mean, this could be catostrophic and you're worried about the game. What about the people that will lose lives, property, you ever think about that?"
Some stupid media member would have asked and Saban would have ended it. That conversation would have been over.

Saban would've grabbed that hurricane by its pussy and steered it offshore.

We're playing you guys. We gave up two home games to play in LA for two consecutive games in the future. It's not like we didn't play you at all, or avoided the game at all.
We wanted a better deal for us than ''okay we'll just play in Louisiana, free home game'', because we're not South Carolina.
Thank you, dearly.
Thank you for letting us play in LA in a year when we weren't supposed to win the East to give us a much better opportunity next year.
Every team looks out for their own, and I have no idea why this autistic fanbase thinks their agenda is more important than our own.

Lol, if you take what you think you know of the small percentage of the fans here, and apply it to the fans you meet in real life, I promise it is you that will have a bad time. That goes for all fan bases, not just Florida.

LSU offered all sorts of ways to play the game; Baton Rouge was only one venue of many suggested. Dick arse Foley was outraged we'd even offer it, then stonewalled the process to have the game cancelled instead of playing at an alternate location.
There's this thing called the "Cone of Probability" and when you're within its bounds, you'd best take heed. Dick arse Foley ignored it. Such a dumb frick.
Stupid ignorant people don't consider what happened prior to the cancellation and only look at what happened afterwards. Florida refused to play because they're a bunch of pussies, then wondered why the hell LSU refused to budge after the fact. Foley is an idiot.
