I've wondered this as well, but who knows how things would have panned out. Would he have been as good against the SEC? No, but I still think he would have been very good.

Would the better defenses of the SEC have made him not as effective vs. better receivers and Oline have made him even better?

2012 Florida had a better defense than any 2013 SEC team aside from perhaps a healthy Florida. I know the 2013 Sugar Bowl was a 1 game scenario, but he displayed his potential versus the SEC's best defense that year.

Well I had thought Cam was to take over when Tebow left so it didnt really make sense to ask the question. Murray and Mett were in the same class.

Mett may have still transferred, but who knows? Sometimes the backup QB moves elsewehere to be near their family (see- Rivers at LSU, going to be near his brother this season), but Mett's mom works at UGA, so that idea is out.

Would Richt and the UGA staff have been open and honest enough to tell him he could likely start at 11 other SEC schools, and should transfer?
