What would happen if a 2 loss SEC champ from the west doesn't make the playoff?

it's easily conceivable that A&M, Bama, OM, and LSU have two losses going into the SEC championship game, with most of us still having our toughest rows to hoe still in the future. What would the implications be if they left out the SEC altogether?

Nothing. The SEC doesn't own football anymore. The South will bitch on social media and the world will continue on.

Wrong. Answer is a world war to end life on the planet as we know it. Would be a darn shame.

I've been wondering...
What if Ole Miss wins out in conference, but loses to Memphis?
Let's assume the LSU/aTm winner finishes conference play with 1 loss (both beat Alabama, lose to Ole Miss).
Would the selection committee take a 1-loss West runner-up over a 2-loss Ole Miss team that lost to Memphis? Or would the SEC be shut out altogether?
Keep in mind that Ole Miss is the SEC champion in this scenario with a head-to-head victory over both of those teams.
ETA: Or better yet, what if Alabama and Ole Miss both win out in conference, but Ole Miss loses to Memphis? Ole Miss still goes to Atlanta and wins the conference. Does Alabama's name get them in the playoff over Ole Miss?

If we lose to Memphis, we aren't winning out in conference.

we'd hang the SEC banner and be damned proud?

If a 2 loss SEC team is left out, the PO committee made the right call.

Doubt it will happen, but most likely would if we have four 0 and 1 loss conference champs

The SEC sucks this year...it's really depressing

Depends on who got in over the SEC champ. If it's four undefeated/one loss teams that look good and won their conference, I wouldn't bitch about it.

Wouldn't be unprecedented. 10-2 Bama won the SEC in '99 with a loss to Louisiana Tech
On second thought it would be unprecedented, you know because Ole Miss and Atlanta and stuff

Ole miss would hang a banner

what about the fact that we've dominated the ACC, PAC and B1G in noncon play this year?

Beat the living shite out of whomever they play in the Sugar Bowl.

Just trying to think through who the committee would vote for over a two-loss SEC champ...
One-loss OSU/MSU/UM - Definitely
One-loss Baylor/TCU - Yes
One-loss Utah/Stanford - Yes
One-loss FSU/Clemson - Probably
One-loss Notre Dame - Probably

Why limit it to the West- I mean LSU and Bama sure I get that but- TAMU, and OM I like Florida by 2 scores on those guys.
