Idaho has brought in a few JUCO kids that just may surprise UF on Saturday. I think this game might be closer than the blowout everyone expects. Every year we talk about UF's offense finally getting their shite together against a cupcake but the game ends up being in the balance. Same shite different year and OC.

It is pretty well impossible to impress in a single game.

If you expect people to be impressed by them, sustaining improved production in almost every phase of the game, for a string of several games-- say 3-- and people will likely come around on Florida's offense as being different. A single game is too prone to having favorable matchups, particularly early in the year. It is, however, comparatively easy to see where a team that stinks, is likely to stink again.

2013 was Booms fault but 2012 wasn't to his credit. Gotta love SECR logic.

The playcalling and execution the last two years even against the cupcake teams were bad. I need to see an o-line that can actually block somebody and some diversity in playcalling. I don't buy that whole "vanilla gameplan" bullshite after the last two seasons.

I need to see more than WR screens and runs up the middle against a stacked box.

im basing it off him firing zook for not keeping y'all at a high level but then years later sitting there and doing nothing as boom gets leveled by ga. southern. so football wise Foley isn't as quick to pull the trigger anymore. I respected his quick trigger on the zooker

Foley seems to have lost his edge as AD

I wouldn't go that far. Muschamp was hired to clean up the program along with winning games. He has achieved the goal of turning us into a clean program and isn't far from being a winning coach (he's over .500 in his tenure) having gone for 1 average, 1 above average, and 1 poor season.

If he offense can click, we will be fine.

If the offense scores in the 40's, something that hasn't happened since USCe in 2012, and that was more the defense and SP Teams than anything, I think that will indicate things are moving in the right direction.

No turnovers, no sacks, good efficiency. I think if we see those things, even against Idaho, the rest of the SEC should start to worry, because UF hasn't even been able to move the ball on bad teams since the beginning of 2011.

My deepest apologies.

I'm not sure what was worse. A WR and an OL blocking each other or the fact that the OL got no push on his WR.

Well, maybe you are smarter than Foley on this one. He really believes in Boom it seems.

Can you apply for the job when Foley gets fired?

Idaho is the type of team you shouldn't even have to play your starters in the 2nd half.

If our offensive starters are still in this game by the 4th quarter, that's bad news.

I've said it before, even made a thread here. Foley is a great AD but also overrated and could improve. UF should always win annual cup challenges. Look at the demographics in the south and Caribbean.

Some areas for improvement:

Facilities - This is a big one for me. Our facilities look like shite compared to other SEC schools. Foley is a noted tightwad which I think has hurt the overall image of UF sports. I talk to recruits and I've heard them say it. An old Odome, crumbling BHG, no indoor practice field, poor baseball facility, etc.

Poor coaching hires/fires - he mismanaged the Urban Meyer departure. Even gave him $million dollars on the way out. Let him stay a year too long because he didn't have a back up plan, which really started the decline of Gator football. Zook, Muschamp. Lucked out on most all the successful coaches.

Poor image - UF became the poster child of college athlete arrests. Serial killer, rapist, violence against woman, robberies, etc., and many of these transgressions were from the woman athletes. There was a lack of institutional control for a few years.

UF Sports attendance - We suck in attendance to most sports at home and on the road. Foley has done a poor job to attract fans to athletic events.

Improving UF national brand - The success that UF has had, UF should be a national an international brand. We are still a very regional brand. You have to work hard and spend money to expand your brand into other regions. Foley hasn't really tried.

Most people just look at the wins at UF but if you think about it, UF should always dominate athletics. UF did very well before Foley.

Yeah... UF should always dominate athletics... because no other Athletic departments are even trying... and no other AD's have strong alumni bases...

God what a fricking homer.

I hope the starters on offense get a ton of reps. They need em.

For me, the key would be to look at Driskel's decision making. Even though it's Idaho you ought to be able to tell if he's gotten any better with it.

Crumbling BHG? I don't know where this comes from. AS for the O'Dome that is being taken care of.

This is not true at all, in fact UF is consistently among the top 10 in attendance in the Olympic sports. The O'Dome sells out against most teams and The Swamp just had a consecutive sellout streak ended.

1) If UF wins 77-0, I'll say we suck.
2) If UF wins 13-0, I'll say we really suck.
