I just gave my opinion. Alabama as a program has been sharpened by steel (aka the other SEC West teams). tOSU has been dulled by the flimsy parenchyma of the B1G, which plays soft football with slow white people.

Just saying. We heard all the taunts and boasts from Notre Dame and we all say how that turned out.

Merry Christmas, northman.

After last years Sugar Bowl crapfest I'm not taking anything for granted.

However I have a very hard time seeing OSU's 3rd string QB, with 1 start to his name, putting up an insane game against a Saban defense, which is usually pretty complicated.

As Gary Danielson so frequently points out, one of the common threads in Alabama's very few losses over the last 7 years, the opposing QB usually has to play at an elite level and have a career type game in order for them to win.

Ohio State simply cannot win without their inexperienced QB having a lights out game throwing the ball.*

The asterisk is some bizarre game where Sims throws 4 INT's and Griffin misses 5 FG's or something, in that case a vanilla OSU could win, but outside of that they'll need a great game out of their QB.

Huh? SCar played them in back to back Outback bowls in the early 2000s and beat 'em both times. I don't think the Buckeyes have ever beaten the Gamecocks.

I meant literally this class of Ohio northsmen have never faced a true SEC team. The ones who got dominated by SC are long gone.

Gotcha. I took what you said literally.

And in the spirit of the holidays, Merry Christmas, Grad.

I would predict late 2nd QTR. Bama too much, too often.

OSU is still a year or two away from competing with Alabama. This will not be the Notre Dame game but it should be a couple-score game. You have to be a loaded team to be able to beat 2014 Alabama and I don't see any of those teams in the playoff.

was Oklahoma loaded? Is Ole Miss loaded? If so why did they not win the SEC West?

This is pretty much how I feel. Cautiously optimistic. Anyone who think OSU is not going to be a formidable opponent is mistaken.

We don't resemble 2012 Notre Dame in the least. I think most of the country was in agreement about that team.

BTW, no taunts here. It's time to see how we stack up against the best.

You do know that is reality, right?

Saban vs a third sting QB?

I think the qb quits in the 2nd quarter. Defense quits 3rd and Meyer in the 4th.
