I'd go with less than 1% for Ole Miss. We don't have too many sidewalk or bandwagon fans.

I would go lower. 5% - 9%.

We have a lot of sidewalk fans (me, for instance), but even Arkansas sidewalkers attend games pretty often.

Probably around 10-15%

We don't have very many band wagoners. Most of our fans either grew up Ole Miss fans or attended the university.

Those numbers are terribly low. If I had to guess, I would say it would be closer to 50% for almost every team. You have to remember that the poor white trash fans outnumber the middle class fans by a significant margin.

I disagree. Even "poor white trash" fans can afford to at least attend one game against a directional rent a win school in their lifetime.

Marty, are you talking about all fans or SECr fans?

If you talking about all people that call themselves fans, I would say the numbers are higher for all teams than you think

Real, hardcore fans will find a way. Sure, but there's also those every day normal guy poor people(the vast majority) fans who live pay check to pay check. Most of which live 2-6 hours away from (insert college town here) and can't afford the gas to get there, much less a ticket to the game.

This - and I still don't think 50 % scratches the surface. I know every bit as many non degree holding laborer type folks who bleed red and black and as I do alum. Edit - who have not gone to games

Hell 40% of Bama fans can't even find Tuscaloosa on a map.

You're insane. There's probably what....several hundred thousand Arkansas fans in America? So let's hypotheticall say there's 300,000 Arkansas fans...you think that 255,000 of those people have been to a game before?

Absolutely no way. You have to realize that people that posts on message boards, die hards, and people that have season tickets make up a small percentage of an overall fanbase. For every one guy that lives and dies with the team, there's probably 10 that live in bumfrick Arkansas that have never been anywhere near Fayetteville.

And that goes for every fanbase, not just Arkansas. I'd say that out of the overall UGA fanbase, somewhere around 50% probably haven't been to a game before.

I doubt it is 10%. And that's an upper extreme. EVERY sidewalk fan in Texas until recently was a fan of Texas. AFAIK every Aggie fan here is a student or graduate.

But I've been wrong before...

The only way it'd be over that MIGHT be with our increasing profile over the past few years.

I've been racking my brains trying to remember if I've met a TAMU fan anywhere that's never been to an Aggie game. I've come up with 1 person. And he's going to a game this year

99 percent of state fans live in Starkville. You toothless jimmies need to worry about going to the music city bowl every year and beating Arkansas. We will worry about national titles. Every other part of Mississippi is ole miss. Except for south miss and they are USM supporters. Stop acting like you don't live in a state that's literacy rate is maybe at 50 percent.

Btw I don't expect a quick reply. I'm sure your dial-up internet is a tad slow
