Bret would have to run the table to even be mentioned. Texas would have to go after the best of the best to please its fans and board and someone to justify replacing Brown with. I don't see them being happy with him.

He won 12 games his first year at his last gig. 14 this year doesn't seem like a stretch

No, he wouldn't have to run the table. Look at his resume. If Bielema is still at Wisconsin this year, I think he'd definitely be on the short list to replace Mack Brown at UT. Bielema's resume is in my opinion one of the best resumes of major college football coaches without a BCS title.

Bielema's resume upon leaving Wisconsin was far and away better than Les Miles' resume when he left Oklahoma St. I'm giving Bielema his props. He's no slouch.

Had Les Miles been to a major bowl game before getting the LSU job? Alama Bowls don't count.

All I'm saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if many of the big fish will pass on the UT job because they're happy where they're at.

Add to that a 2 big ten titles and another through sanctions and finishing 4-4 in conference play.Winning a crappy conference handicap to a 3 to 4 team race isn't impressive. His biggest win was what, beating an inelgible OSU team. Best accomoplishment was what, montee ball heisman campaign and breaking the fbs record and having a solid
OL every year. Bret didnt have as much success as everyone believes and came into the job with a program stock with talent following their previous coach, now turned AD. Thats the reason he went 12-1 in year one.

Bret to texas is a joke.
