I submit the name of Gus Malzahn for your consideration as it appears that he will be out of a job

You insult yourself. You were just hammer-f*cked by two-bit Mississippi State

Go get Mike Bobo. He is the HBC at Colorado State now. Dude can coach offense and is an elite recruiter.

Haven't people been assuming he was going to leave State every year for the last 3 or 4 years?

We won't need to. Mullen will celebrate his 10th year in Starkville next year.

He will also will have all of this year's team coming back.

Beating LSU is his ticket out.

He'll take it, if he truly wants to be great.

If he just wants to be comfortable, he might stay.

They've been saying it since he went 9-4 in 2010 with mostly Croom recruits. Another good year, more rumors, pay raise for Mullen. Rinse and repeat. I stopped letting those rumors bother me a long time ago.

Bill Belichik has been sniffing around for a while. I think he indicated to mullen if he ever left he wanted first refusal by MsState. that is why they met in the off season.

Fastfwd to present day and most of you'd take a shot in the mouth for him to come to LSU.

Nah. He's now 2-7 against LSU in his illustrious Mississippi State career. One game does not make me want him at LSU. He could beat LSU for the next five years (that might happen the longer Orgeron stays), but I don't want him at LSU. He's done a nice job at Mississippi State, but he's done nothing ground-breaking to say he's the next James Franklin.

I don't want Orgeron or Joe Alleva at LSU, but I've been pretty clear in that declaration since last November. I'm not surprised LSU lost to Miss. State. I'm surprised LSU lost by 30 in year one. I figured that would come a couple of years from now.

Mullen will return with basically the same team as this year, for Fitz's senior year and most of the team this year is juniors and sophomores.

And he will whip LSU again

Does Megan still hate Starkville? Does she still spend 90% of the year with her parents, who also hate Starkville?

Posters act like we haven't heard it all in regards to Mullen leaving. I'll give him this, He's approaching the 10 yr mark of coaching at MSU. That's the usual max for any coach at any program in the modern era. If he wants to try something else while he's still young, I'll tip my hat to him and continue to pull for his success

So, beating LSU is what is going to make the rest of the college football world stand up and take notice that Dan Mullen can coach?

Great win but FAR from a resume builder and that isn't a knock against him or MSU by the way...

Mullen ain't leaving. If he didn't leave after 2014 he sure in the hell isn't leaving now.

Yeah. Beating a mediocre LSU team is far from a "resume builder".

At least MSU will have an intensely competitive bastard hiring the next coach, and not the booger-eating scab farmer Joe Alleva
