Would you care to answer my question from earlier?
All of the Aubs have convinced me that they flipped Bessent and Roberts, not that we let them go.
What happened when AU flipped players committed to Bama? Did these young men forsake the money the REC was offering for a chance to be a part of the fambly? That doesn't seem in line with Bessent's character. Why would he give up all that money when he has two kids to support? Or did the Auburn boosters outbid us and that is why they signed with AU? TIA.

It's true. I always look for the good in people. I am naive.
I'm sure the Aubies have their top guys working on a theory right now for how the REC accomplished this.

Is that an Escalade parked out front?
Quick...some Aubies need to jot down that license plate and see what kind of rims are on it.

You think that's what corporate VPs make?
FYI in a large organization "VP" doesn't literally mean they are the Vice President of the company....
And my mistake, looks like she is a "Director" at TSYS. So she probably makes about 90k.
FWIW I'm not commenting on the thread other than trying to interject some information.
Having a Doctorate in Psychology from Auburn and 4 degrees doesn't mean she has the salary of a "doctor" although her student loan bills might beg to differ.

I think the SECR has a very misguided view of what a "VP" is....
please peruse Glassdoor and look at the average salaries of "VPs" are at large companies in Alabama. Then subtract 10% because she is going to be below the average working in a small market like Auburn.

Newsflash: companies aren't exactly lining up to look for people with Liberal Arts PhDs...
Sorry if you are missing the point...

I can't think of a bigger waste of money than these 4 degrees, and that goes for any school.
I am not bashing the mom, she has a good job, but just trying to tell the Bama fans who are acting like she is the second coming of Warren Buffet to pump the brakes.

Like I posted earlier, your "Family" can throw all the horseshite you want at your former player, Alan is a grown man and can take it. But leave the Mrs. and the teenager out of it because it's petty and classless.

There's a pretty big gulf between making six figures and Warren Buffett.
Anywho, VP means Vice President in most any organization I have seen (I am one actually). There are usually multiple ones, but that's what it stands for.

How am I discrediting her?
A bama fan said aren't they wealthy? Isn't the mom a doctor?
I'm just trying to clarify that a phd in Psychology does not make 500k a year.....
also, according to glassdoor "Director" salaries at TSYS range from 85-135, put her on the lower end due to being in a small market.... and voila I was 10 grand off.

Yes they are calling out the media for writing articles without "facts" although they wrote a whole piece about how graciously their recruits were handling negative criticism from Bama and other fans with nothing more than quotes from the recruits that this happened.
all they're saying is that these stories should be fact-checked.... like if the Evans aren't getting served food, provide a name and have this piece of information verified, or at least an attempt be made.
In other words, act like an actual real life news reporter. That standard shouldn't necessarily stand for a guy like Bone who writes for a fansite... but for the al.com guys who are affiliated with the state's newspapers, it should.

He was high and didn't realize Auburn was not offering money. He's hoping he'll be released from his scholarship before the charges are dropped so he can go to Bama and get paid.

PhD's ain't doctors bro
I didn't say she was a medical doctor, but she does have a PhD, which is a master degree in her field of studies. And she can, and does, use the honorary title of Dr. in front of her name. LINK
Dr. Chenavis Evans

PhD stands for Doctor of Philosophy .
quote:
A PhD, on the other hand is a generic degree that is awarded in many subjects and the recipient is referred to as a doctor in that field of study. For example, a person can be a doctor of economics and may use the honorary title of Doctor in front of his name. That doesn’t mean that he is a doctor who treats patients. All it means is that he has done PhD in his subject. The degree of PhD is a prerequisite to get tenure as a teacher in most Universities and colleges, and a person can become a professor later in his life only when he has submitted his thesis in his chosen field of study. As such, a PhD is more academic in nature than other doctoral degrees like an M.D or D.D.S

Did he say they weren't being served? I thought he said he had heard people suggest that they shouldn't be served. Not that it has happened. How would they verify what he heard? It's been a few days since I read the article though.

Wow, thanks for clearing that up Sherlock. That was a major point of confusion in this thread. Glad we were able to solve that mystery.

ahh.... so they were just reporting 3rd hand rumors?... some of the crap that gets passed off as journalism these days...
the hacks at al.com should be ashamed... but considering their mouthbreather audience, I kinda doubt it.

Exactly. I don't know why anyone would think that a PhD is any more or less than a medical doctor. The word is being used in two completely different ways, and in both cases it is very appropriate to call the person "Doctor".
As for her salary, I find it hilarious that people think they can pinpoint what her salary must be, based upon her education and background. Maybe you can speculate accurately for entry level positions, but once you get to her place in a career, you have no idea what her compensation is.
