My oldest brother played in an All Star game with Jerry Stovall in Pennsylvania. The Hershey Bowl I think it was in '58.

earliest memories of it being on the radio. a little later, listening to keith jackson call games (and my wonderful dad taking time out from yelling at the t.v. to explain to me exactly what was going on..:)).

my dad didn't start taking us to games until "we were old enough to behave ourselves and to understand and enjoy the game.." we went to a lot of tuscaloosa games, but the most vivid memory i have is when alabama was playing, i think, tcu. one of their players suffered a nasty hit. did not get up and was carried off the field. sadly, i think that player ended up being paralized. in all of the many games i have been to, i cannot remember a more quiet, somber moment.

Colorado beating Mizzou on a late 5th down TD. Colorado then went on to be the NC that year.

My first memory of the existence of college football was probably about 1990-91. I was 3 and sitting on my mother's lap while she had me singing "Yea Alabama, Crimson Tide, look at all the turkeys on the Irish side!" to my grandmother, who was a huge Notre Dame fan.

The first college football game I ever remember seeing was the 1992 Iron Bowl that was played on Thanksgiving Day. I only saw a few glimpses of it though because I really couldn't have cared less about football at that time. I just knew I was an Alabama fan and that's all I cared about.

LINKMy first vivid memory is Jay Graham sprinting down the sideline for a long touchdown against Alabama. And thus my hatred for Tennessee was born.

I can vaguely remember an earlier UT game because I remember my great aunt yelling "go jay!" (Barker) on a scramble. I was more interested in playing with my cousins than the game though. That Jay Graham run ripped my heart out. I was 6 years old.

The '93 Sugar Bowl. I don't remember every detail, but I remember the day of the game, the game, Teague being a badass. I vividly remember him taking the ball from Thomas. The celebration. Stallings getting the cooler dumped on him.

I was 5 years old. Great first memory

The one that stands out to me the most is my dad throwing his hat across the room when Van Tiffin made the kick in.... '85? My dad is an AU fan. I know there was football on our TV all the time before that, but that's the first time I can remember sitting and watching any of it.

My first memory of college football wasn't until I was 10, back in '84 when we had Black Magic and Joe Mo. It was the 2nd half of the Carolina-FSU game and we returned the 2nd half opening kickoff all the way for a TD on our way to thwart the Noles 38-26 and take 2nd in the polls the next week.

Unfortunately, I also remember watching that Navy game the following week...

Age 6 on Oct. 25, 1969.

#7 LSU 21 #4 Auburn 20 in Death Valley.

My Dad got tickets from a La.State Trooper. We sat in the South end zone because I remember LSU painted the SEZ with the opponents' colors.
It was blue with orange 'A and U.'

Thing I remember most is the first play of the game. Jimmy Gilbert threw a halfback option pass to Andy Hamilton for a TD.
George Bevan and Bill Thomasan blocked Auburn XP to preserve the win.

#5 LSU went 9-1 (3 point loss to Archie and OM) and was offered the Cotton Bowl vs #1 Texas, but unceremoniously was dumped for 2-loss #11 Notre Dame instead.

And I remember driving up Airline Highway past Hopper's and Bluebird's and the Snake Farm that sunny autumn Saturday morning.
