I bet the conference wouldn't suck as bad if, say LSU had won it. It would have been a formidable gauntlet of teams that the mighty tigers laid waste to.

He said they hadn't played anyone, I wanted to know if he'd have the same thinking if Bama whips their PO opponents.

I think LSU will be formidable in 2017, I think Orgeron was a good hire. That may or may not be a popular belief among LSU fans, but I think he was the right choice.

For UGA:
-first year coach
-failed recruiting class of 2013
-bad recruiting on OL for a decade
-new QB
-young front 7

We will improve next two years

No elite coach wants to compete with Saban. they'd rather fake heart attacks and run off to weaker conferences where they know they can win.

This and Saban taking all the 4*s and 5*s keeps other SEC teams down. And its intentional. He doesn't want the competition. So if they transfer for playing time, they can't go to other SEC schools. Its brilliant. But it keeps the rest of the SEC down.

All the good coaches quit and were replaced by significantly less talented coaches.

Urban - gone
Spurrier - gone
Richt - gone
Miles - gone
Freeze - about to be gone

No good coach stepped up to take any of those openings. Between the SEC favoritism shown Bama and whatever they put in the water in Tuscaloosa that makes their LOS players bigger than NFL teams, no one wants to compete with Saban.

Well, he was right, they haven't. And considering no one in the CFP has more than 1 loss and outside Alabama the entire SEC has 4+ losses, yes that was an ignorant comment to make. Or do you argue the SEC was better than average?

bullshite. Go look at 247's college team talent and the top 25 is dominated by SEC teams. Vanderbilt is the lowest team at 41.

The problem in the SEC has nothing to do with recruiting

Or maybe just sorry administrations hire sorry coaches. Was it Saban's fault LSU made a terrible hire in basketball too with Johnny Jones?

Doesn't matter if Bama wins out or not. If they do, that simply means they- that one single team- are the best.

Not that long ago, SEC play was a warzone, and whoever emerged was ready to win out. LSU, Florida, Bama, Auburn, Georgia, go back just a little and you could add Tennessee. Heck, you had a stretch where South Carolina was going 11-2 every year, and Arky was pushing right alongside them. There usually was 3-4 teams ranked in the Top 10, and another block in the overall Top 25.

Right now, the conference is made up of Bama and a bunch of teams fighting to be ranked at all.

No AD wants to piss away millions for some hotshot coach to lose to Saban every year. Everyone is in a holding pattern hoping for Saban to get bored and leave. So, you get a shitty conference until Bama stops winning it all every year.

You're a blocked FG away from being 0-5. Consider that....

thats such a Bama question to ask. their isnt a rule in place that says the SEC will be the best conference every year.

It began earlier than the last 2 years as some would elude to. The point the SEC is at now began with the SEC East shite show after the downfall of Florida (Urban Meyer leaving), the mediocrity of Georgia, and the nebraskaness of Tennessee.

Lack of talent at some key positions not the least of which is the OL is our main problem.
