Alabama is 35-5 (87.5%) in it's last 40 SEC games (regular season, they are 38-5 since 2011 if you include SECCG).
From my quick research since 1980
Florida : 1992 - 1996 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Florida : 1993 - 1997 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Florida : 1996 - 2000 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Tennessee : 1993 - 1997 = 33-7 (82.5%)
Tennessee : 1995 - 1999 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Alabama : 1991 - 1995 = 33-5-1 (84.6%)
Alabama : 2008 - 2012 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Alabama : 2011 - 2015 = 35-5 (87.5%)
Auburn : 1986 - 1990 = 25-6-2 (75.8%)
Georgia : 1978 - 1982 = 28-1-1 (93.3%)
Georgia : 1979 - 1983 = 28-2 (93.3%)
Georgia : 2001 - 2005 = 30-10 (75.0%)
LSU : 2003 - 2006 : 32-8 (80.0%)
LSU : 2009 - 2013 : 30-10 (75.0%)

UGA: running the conference since 1978

I bet Tennessee had a ridiculous stretch in there at one point under Neyland.

Only 6 teams have won 75% of their SEC games over a 5 year period since 1980.

How the hell does UGA have only 1 title in this period?
3 SEC losses in 5 years is insane.

Agree, what an incredible stretch.
They lost 2 Sugar Bowls though, and both in agonizing fashion.

The best 3 year stretch has to be 1938-1940, Tennessee.
Not including bowl games, opponents scored a total of 16 points, IN 3 YEARS.

We were undefeated and unscored upon in conference for 3 consecutive years, then Neyland left to go fight the Nazis.
fricking Nazis

1980: won it all
1981: clemson (the eventual national title winner) got us at their place in the 3rd game of the season. They won by 10, and it was one of the extremely rare times (like less than 3 or 4) that he was actually held in check. We went 10-1 reg season and lost on a 4th quarter long bomb to dan marino and pitt in the sugar bowl.
1982: got revenge on clemson adn went 11-0 regular season. Just like last year, lost on a 4th quarter bomb to PSU in teh sugar bowl.
If not for that glorified hail mary, we'd have 2 titles in 3 years. '81 is excusable because we lost to a legit better team that won the title. In Herschel's entire career, I think 81 clemson is the ONE team that was actually better than us.

a few others just quickly looking at LSU history:
1933-1937 23-3-2 (85%)
1958-1961 24-5-1 (81%)
1969-1973 21-4-1 (82%)
1984-1988 24-5-2 (81%)
there may be one or 2 I missed, and some of these you can move the dial a year or 2 in either direction and still be over 80%

Neylands best extended period of win percentage was in the Southern Comference.
Tennessee was 36-1-5 in conference from 1927-1932. Win percentage of 86% and non-losing percentage of 98%.
His best teams were the 38-40 group though.

World War 2 had a dramatic impact on college football history. Paul Brown left Ohio State, never to return, and Bear Bryant was on his way to Fayetteville to take the Arkansas job when Pearl harbor hit.
