LSU will be much improved on defense this year. People like to point out that we lost Anthony Johnson and Ego, but they weren't special last year and had to play WAYYY too much because there was no depth. Last year we had redshirts, freshmen that weren't ready to play a lot of minutes, and injuries. This year we have more talent and more depth at the position. Our LB's will be the best we've had in years and our DB's will be back to LSU DB U form. Our offense is the question mark.

Also, 90% of the time Les is just fricking with people when he says weird shite. He is an all-time great media troll. I've met him a couple times and he is just a normal dude who talks normally.

ETA:

Brandon Harris is actually older than Anthony Jennings

you're not returning a single starter to either side of the line, no one is buying that.

without actual game time, you can't make that statement

Well, most people don't realize that our lines will be better than most think. That's the point of the thread right?

Last year we had redshirts, freshmen that weren't ready to play a lot of minutes, and injuries. Its pretty common for talent to take a year to be ready to play, ESPECIALLY on the lines.

Granddad, time for your nap.

it's a shite statement, backed with nothing.

well, I guess all these posts are backed by nothing considering no team has played a snap yet.

I guess the truth hurts. man, I concede that our guys were too young and inexperienced to help much last year but we don't know much about them this year so I wouldn't be blowing their horns just yet.

and for your information it is NOT time for my nap. I usually don't take it until midafternoon.

We had a gay defensive end on our team last year.

Expect much more use of our TE Cam Clear (6' 7", 277#)

Sumlin has already stated that they didn't use Cam Clear in the offense as much last year because that would have brought more defenders closer to the line of scrimage and closer to JFF. They wanted JFF to have as much "space" as possible which makes sense. It wasn't because of the OC. It's in one of his fall press conferences.

And yes, Cam Clear will be a much bigger part of the offense this year.

everybody knows this.

seriously tho, I honestly think y'all will have a better offense this year. I say this because last year the team was way "over dependent" on JFF. that retarded the growth of other potential playmakers; I mean if a D stopped JFF and Evans, y'all were sunk. y'all had an outstanding OL and some pretty good RB's and WR's (in addition to Evans). my take was, and I have stated that on here, that Sumlin was not that good of a coach as he didn't use all of his resources to win games. people can learn, however, and I predict he has no choice this year and it will benefit your offense. if you had a defense worth a shite, A&M would be a factor. just mo.

Though nobody knows much about the Auburn secondary we return experience and names who have contributed. Mincy is a name people are familiar with because he started the last two years. Jonathan Jones is a kid that has been behind Davis til he graduated and Josh Holsey is a corner that started at both CB and S until his injury before aTm last year.

Add a 2 year starter in Jermaine Whitehead and a JUCO transfer Derrick Moncrief in at safety along with "do it all" Rudy Ford.. AU's secondary will still be cringe worthy but not as much as some might want to believe!

but everybody knows a lot about the Auburn offense. losing Robinson and Mason is huge. add that you're not going to sneak up on anyone and your rabbit's foot is depleted, this year is gonna be tough on you Plainsmen.

Yeah but what year isn't tough in this conference? Nothing is a cake walk here and I'd be confident to say Malzahn is aware of that.

Thanks Pops

This line of thinking is borderline retarded.

Congrats.

This is actually a brilliant idea for a recruiting tool.

We are picked in the top 20 in most polls but we are still, by SEC standards, very young at almost every position.
