One of the more interesting draft picks in quite a while IMO. I'd love to see him get a shot at QB, but I don't know of a team thatd give him a shot. I thought he looked good at the combine making his throws, but I'm not an NFL GM.

he made 5 tackles as a reserve in 2011 for us.

That's why most people (me, anyway) predict he'll have a hard time in the NFL. It's not that he isn't naturally talented enough, but when you go about 4 years without playing a position, you can't just pick it up and play at an NFL level right off the bat. He damn sure won't be an NFL QB, so if he does make it it'll be as a DB. I just don't think he'll ever do better than 2nd string.

beaver talk to ross and lct for me, I put in a request to post on your board for a day. I want to talk about the bball game on 3/7 and would rather do it on your board where it won't get derailed. They can take my access away after 24 hours. I'll be good I promise.

I wish him a long and prosper career in whatever he chooses.

I'm just glad Alabama doesn't have to face him again.

Nick Saban and Kirby Smart better try harder to stop those 5 plays.

and actually came out of VT as a pretty polished passer.
sure, if completing 56% of your passes with 21 TDs & 12 INTs over two years equates to polished.

He'll walk on as an invited FA somewhere and get a shot.

The fact that Marshall was a very efficient passer in the SEC (34 TDs, 13 INTs, 60% over his 2 years) and hasn't been given any real look as an NFL qb should tell you that stats aren't everything.

Which more or less means he gave up a lot of passes...

Spend 2-3 years on a practice squad and then go play in Canada or the Arena league.

I'm not sure why you're trying to turn this back on Marshall when all I'm discussing is your incorrect views on Vick coming out of college. Vick was selected first overall because of his absolute freakish athleticism. Not because of his "polished" passing ability. He had a good/great deep ball but was extremely erratic at the short to intermediate throws. One of his best years in Atlanta had him at 56.4% completion rating with 14 TDs and 12 INTs. He has always thrown a lot of INTs with a low completion percentage.
