MS recruits since 2009 Ole Miss landed that Mullen went after

P. Patterson
E. McCray
T. Grant
V. Sanders
C. Thompson
N. Parker
C. Martin
B. Bennett
W. Dorsey
N. Brassell
T. Singleton
CJ Johnson
J. Bell
A. Morris
S. Golson
D. Moncreif
C. Brown
C. Ward
T. Strong
I. Gross

This is just false all the way around. Out of this list the players we legitimately went after were-

Pat Patterson, Vince Sanders, Carlos Thompson,Nick Brassell,CJ Johnson,Tobias Singleton, Aaron Morris, Senquez Golson, Donte Moncrief, and Channing Ward. So about half of your original list.

Also, Out of that list, Patterson, Thompson, Brassell, and Singleton were all busts.

So 6 players over a a 4 year period. Wow. 1.5 players a year that went to Ole Miss over State. Thats really stickin it to us 11!11!!!!!

You are using a historical stereotype to try to make this point... one that is largely no longer true for Mississippi State.

Fact: Our Bulldog Club has raised over $70mil in the previous two seasons solely in private athletics donations. We have balanced the budget on ticket sales and not had to dip into ANY of that money outside of facility improvements. That takes a backseat to no one. I'd love to know the per capita numbers nationally.

Fact: We have a massive coaching trust that was set up in the will of one of our most famous donors. There is enough money and accrued interest there to never, ever lose a coach over money or fail to buy one out when the time comes.

Fact: We have $100mil tied up in current football improvements. Our $25 mil football facility will take a back seat to no one. When combined with our(already existing) IPF, it is actually larger than the new IPF that Tennessee just built, which is the measuring stick for the rest of the country. Our stadium is not large, but will have a tremendous percentage of premium seating when the expansion is complete. While still quaint in size, the amenities there will take a back seat to no one. And phase 2 is already in the plan.

I'm really not trying to hate on you but you are truly naive if you think State has anything close to the resources or donors of Bama, LSU, A&M, Auburn, or Arkansas. Yes you have some money and you have some generous donors that would make you dominant in many leagues, just not in the SEC and not the SEC West. The formula you have to employ is getting more with less and hiring the right coach who can develop talent. That's not meant as an insult, it's just reality. If you owned the entire State of Mississippi then it might be something but you don't, Ole Miss gets their share as well and a ton of recruits go OOS and there are still only so many in a state of less than 3 million. State and Ole Miss have by far the smallest stadiums in the West and even expansion isn't going to get them close. LSU and Bama are pushing 100k and A&M is about to spend $450 mill to do the same. Auburn and Arkie are also far larger.

For comparison, LSU owns Louisiana, has bigger and better facilities, recent crystal footballs, and a ton of money. Arkansas owns Arkansas, has tremendous facilities, and has the Walton family that can write checks as large as they need to. Auburn and Bama share Alabama but they have double your budget, recent crystal footballs, and have always recruited well OOS. A&M doesn't own Texas (though we have at times) but there are 26 million people in Texas, we don't need to. We also have 50k students, 360k alumni, and 3 donors that are billionaires.

State can still win but it's hardly smack talk to say that the deck is stacked against you.
