By the end of the season Auburn was terrible. I don't think they could have beaten anyone in the west the last month of the regular season, and would have lost to no less than four teams from the east.
Also, Arkansas was a much better team on the second half of the season.
Much as it pains me to say it, Stonehog is right on this one.
