If the Awful Waffle bought the naming right to any stadium it would be UGA's.

Negative. UGA would be the LAST team in the country that Waffle House would support.

Joe Rogers, the founder of Waffle house, was a GA Tech grad. That is the reason their colors are gold and black.

We would get stuck with Coca Cola, Home Depot or Delta Airlines.

PROBABLY Home Depot...

LOL.

His name is seriously on a building on every campus in this state I've been too.

Same with the Walton's although some you wouldn't know it as they were named after members of Sam's wife's family.

Arky is really similar to Mizzou in that way.

I've got no clue what the foundation's love affair with Arkansas is. I wish they'd keep a lot more at his alma mater. Mizzou has got some DWR stuff, but should probably have more considering.

The fact that I wound up in Vegas next to his foundation's HQ is kind of wierd.

ETA: we've got the Walton stuff too, but not mas much as I'd like.

Oregon will do Nike shite, Bama won't.
Oregon will always be home of Nike, Bama won't.

Oregon will always be much more Nike than Alabama.

The Oregon thing and the Nike thing have been working out well for all parties involved, so it's all good.

But the whole thread implied local companies would buy the rights.

Sorry bubba, you're Hunt Refining Field at Bryant Denny.

Or SEC Home Office Field at Bryant Denny.

Fine, then Mizzou gets the good Walmart people and Arkansas gets the real Walmart that wants to pretend to support the hillbillies that work for lower wages by supporting their favorite teams.

Our basketball arena is already named after them so Tyson might put up a fight for the football stadium.
